Personality of the characters is different.vanraj's rudeness n cunning nature is in another level.daughter is sometimes rude.she is just like English vinglish daughter.she is also not becoming a career woman suddenly bcz of divorce.to help the family she did work
but as you said the central theme of a normal woman getting cheated by her husband n how she overcomes it strongly is same.
In kkb mal sarla had 3 daughters.pragya is an advocate n abhi is an actor.aliya is a half sister.otherwise the story was same till mogambo track.in the malayalam kdb too some differences as there though the main story is same.
