But it makes me feel bad when leads /story with so much potential gets ruined

Same thing happened with IB especially RumYa and Rikara

It was so sad, the leads had so much potential and comic timing and the plot was refreshing as well. Anyway, another show ruined by TRPs🤢

The marriage drama ruined KHKT

Didn’t the producer /writer speak out against the channel or something

Both actors had great comedic timing but it was drowned in OTT drama that made NO sense

Hi Keshni!

So, there's just just one episode of this show that I'd specifically downloaded for offline viewing. After reading your comment, I just checked what it was and yeah, it was episode no. 85. Till then, everything was perfect. The story was progressing and the gradual character development had kept us all hooked. However, from episode 86, it did go a bit haywire. While, I understand that makers needed to show that no character is perfect and that a relationship needs to face its share of ups and downs before attaining stability, I'd rather have a light-hearted, feel good drama than one that is both intellectually and emotionally taxing. You'd have shown all of what you did without us feeling disheartened and depressed for major part of the week, to a point where some people went on to question their fondness for the one of the lead character. Characters are bound to be imperfect, irrational in their behaviour at times, questioned by the audience too, but never should that be at the cost of making the people not feel entertained. The reality is already stranger and bitter, the dramas can and should be a dreamy respite therefrom.

I said that generally actually, and after reading your comment, I went and saw which one it was and seems like the number was right afterall.

Trust me, I am all for melodramas and flawed characters, however, as hard hitting as these dramas tend to be, they also need to be crafted/written with absolute care. One moment and that connection is broken, the audience cannot connect back.

While it did go down past the 85, I hadn't yet felt the connection lost at that point - with some damage control it would have been ok. However, the alta episode brought the disconnection for me -comments about somebody's looks was brushed under the carpet, humiliating a women/mother infront of the family just for some drama quotient is not ok for me. There are so many ways that a couple can get back to each other - but commenting on someone's looks is not done. I do know it happens in real life as well - however, this is where my problem with this show is. It highlights problems, but then, does not offer a strong voice to critique that problem (Sai did voice out about women fasting, but then ended up fasting), which then makes it looks like the show is condoning those attitudes.

And it is not ok for me if the ML is ok with his wife being forced to apply alta(without bothering to hear her words) and it is not ok for me if the ML does a 360 degree and is smitten just because his wife is looking pretty and applied alta for him. I mean come on, its 2021, and there are ITV male leads out there who are being smitten to the point of nearly clapping when they hear their ladies voicing out against attrocities towards women.

Virat repeatedly coming in the middle of the drama and condemning Sai (most of the times) is becoming unacceptable because it signifies lazy writing for me - the writers just don't want Virat to take a firm stance.

I was actually going to give the show another try when i heard of the leap, but when I watched the first episode of leap and got to know sona was even more worse off than she was preleap after being shown brutally humiliated and thrown out of sippy mansion, I was just disgusted with the negativity and never went back to it, although I did stick around long enough thankfully post leap to at least watch that hilarious casting couch scene of sonakshi's with that "English speaking taklu" lecherous man. 🤣🤣🤣
