Haan, circumstances didn't really allow for her to be dreamy-eyed about sheher anymore.....there is a brief line when she first comes to the city where she says to herself, this was my dream but I never thought it would be fulfilled like this.

The shaadi in many ways sapped her spirit, especially around Aditya....she's become more sehmi hui around him, constantly living in guilt. His family is all very nice to her, but he puts her down a lot and she seems to take it hard whenever he does that. I think she's become more emotional in the wake of this shaadi.....it's like anything connected to shaadi or Aditya's upcoming shaadi to Malini reminds her all over again what happened to her, how she's away from her mom and she starts crying again.

For now toh she has moments where she tries to cheer herself up by throwing herself into the house chores....but overall, she seems adrift in some ways. Aditya's family though has already wholeheartedly apnaaoed her.....lol his mom is already saying ki think of me like your mom....they treat her more like a daughter than a maid😆.....sab pamper kar rahe hain usko....including the cranky older sister.

As annoying as it sounds it totally goes with the storyline I mean this is the girl who was scared of ever getting mehendi on caz of the fear of leaving her mother this comes from her sense of responsibility and love towards her mother who only have had her and nothing else that fierce protectiveness yeh maa beti have and how it shatters her just the thought ke kahin iski shaadi ho gayi toh phir .. I know I figured in that FB only that ek dum tooth hui soul ho gayi hai yeh bechari caz shaadi does seem to matter a lot to her and foundation of shaadi main vishwaas hai isi liye shewas clear ke mere liye nahi hai and mujhe nahi karni but ultimately jab ho gayi toh it means a lot there was another FB jahan she seem to tell him ke maang bhar di na ab woh maane na maane but iski life ka toh sab kuch yehi hain and she will fulfill it something like that I forgot the exact line and that she doesn't want to bind him but iske liye it will forever matter.

The shock and trauma of it and her going into the shell makes more sense given how she is thrown Into it along with her age too jitna bhi mature karle act ya ho jaaye at the root of it she is still an 18 yrs old girl with no experience or exposure to this kind of life jaisi bhi thi in pagdandiya she was still in a very small world with her mother. Duniya dekhi nahi thi as such

I'm gonna avoid current epis for now, but I can guess why Aditya will feel guilty in the long term.

Even now, he may be rude to Imlie, but he is mostly drowning in guilt over the fact that he is lying to everyone and isn't being true to his principles anymore. He considered himself an honest/upright reporter.....and now he's constantly hiding a big secret from everyone. Imlie is the person he's taking out his frustration on cuz she is the only other person there who is part of this shared secret.

Malini-wise, I'm getting the sense that she is a nice person otherwise but given her level of obsession with Aditya, this can easily turn unhealthy and dark. Her entire focus is on marrying Aditya....but I'm not sure to what extent she has thought through things beyond that....in terms of compatibility with his family and all. Like she only seems to want to bond with them cuz they are Aditya's family....uske ilava I don't know kitna bond banega....and given that this is a joint family, she can't survive there without genuinely bonding with them.

Aditya's family has more middle class sensibilities which are aligning more easily with Imlie's small-town sensibilities too.

As much as I want to fangirl and want to be on same timeline I kind of want to enjoy it too kya pata kab Washington ho jaaye so I get it ke kyon you want to watch it in order 🤣

Oh abhi zyada toh dekha nahi hai maine but woh madhu chachi came across as a sweetheart here jitna bhi dekha the scene where they all are all cleaning up the hallway milke has such an aww wala vibe in tension how they don't shy away and sabke sab bjna kisi ego ke are trying to clean the mess woh sister made

Abhi Aditya ke saath tohuski family main se kisi ka kich interaction nahi hua but am intrested in seeing that I really liked ke the devrani jethani on his side of family were so warm towards each other and koi bakwaas ka faltu nakhre nahi chal rahe thay and ladaiyaan.

Malini ka abhi itna kuch tha nahi jitna maine dekha but agar she remains aisa sidey sa toh ok whatever hai agar she becomes more campy toh phir mushkil ho jaayega

Yep, at the end of the day, she's just an 18 year old who lived in a small village all her life.....toh it's understandable why she's in such trauma over so much happening to her. She was always paranoid about not wanting to be married and not wanting to be away from her mom......toh ab jo ho gaya hai, it's hard for her to process even though she's trying to be brave.

She had progressive ideas for a village girl in terms of wanting to study, be independent....but she was never going to be the kind to not accept a marriage that happened with all the rituals. It's now a truth of her life that she can't deny.....in the epis I've reached, she mainly seems conflicted....she knows Aditya loves Malini but each time Malini is mentioned, it's like she gets reminded that she's married to Aditya and she can't do anything about it so she breaks down all over again. It's not like she has any expectation from him to make this a proper marriage....but she's in trauma over the whole situation right now.

Oh I have to mention the seen on tanki where satyakaam comes and motivates her the first time the way she hugged and all and his camaraderie with her itna pyara tha woh 👏 I loved how there is history between meethi and him but ab they maintain the respect and ek dignity hai in the way they have formed that connection. The way imlie looks upto him is so sweet there is love and mutual respect but woh bhi extra chipko and cringe nahi hai ek real bonding lagta hai

Oh haan, those initial scenes of Aditya's family were heartwarming....sach mein sab log mil jul ke saara kaam kar lete hain and har situation mein sab aa jaate hain baat ko sambhaalne. Aditya ke family scenes bas thode hi dikhaaye hain with his mom.....most of his time seems to go in his job or talking to Malini😆

Re: Malini....I don't think she's going to be a sidey....lol prominent character hai since she's constantly clingy over Aditya.....and aage isne shaadi bhi toh kar leni hai.....lol....upar se she's Imlie's half-sister....toh yeh toh long term rahegi story mein in some form for sure.

LOL Imlie is actually trying to call random phone numbers in Delhi and asking if the person on the other line is her baba😆

Oh word....I loved that scene too.....Satyakaam really is a very nice character and yes, the way he encourages Imlie to not give up on her dreams....that thing he told her about how 1 rupaye ke sikke se hi shagun banta hai. And yes, his equation with Meethi is also nice.

I liked tanki ka addition very reminiscent of panchayat but tv main fresh tha woh I actually liked it kaafi different tha woh and yes the 1 rs ki keeper was rather sweet

LOL I'm actually not clear on whether he met Imlie's mom before or after his marriage to Malini's mom....but the epi I just watched showed his mother and she does look like a middle class lady....so your theory about him choosing a rich biwi to gain influence in his career is quite likely. Is this how it was in Kulfi?😆.....toh matlab copy/paste.....haha

Imlie's bonding with Aditya's family is damn cute.....kaafi SGP type vibes hain with the way they dote on her and everybody keeps pulling each other's leg😆
