i actually kind of disagree that elders need to be respected despite of how they behave. in my opinion of perpetrators of abuse - emotional, physical or sexual deserve no respect.

is what ninad and bhavani does not emotional abuse? it kind of acts like affirmation in negative way. when someone constantly tells you that you are worthless, after sometime we tend to believe the same. is that not the case with ashwini? does emotional abuse should be tolerated because it doesn’t leave any physical scars. but it leaves scars on our physche.

virat turned out to be a fine man despite his father not because of his father. its ok if you dont like your dil, but its not ok to constantly abuse her and expect her to respect you and talk nicely to you.

I agree completely. Sai is a kind of girl who is sensitive to injustice . Constant belittling of women in the family is serious. That too by other women. Not letting her complete her education , the fight is against this mentality . None of the family members supported shivani ..isnt shivani one of their own? If sai didnt interrupt they would throw ink on her. After knowing the truth they were still blaming shivani .

Having said that , sai is fighting for everything that's right but she needs to filter out her responses. Sometimes it's best to ignore their stupidity bec thy try to provoke her so virat gets angry with sai. Sometimes it's best to show them the mirror by actions not just words. Also she must keep communicating with virat bec he rationalizes well..he and ashwini r the best ppl to take suggestion from while dealing with this pre historic family.
