.......every single character on this show does it. All the time. Kaku, Pakhi, Sonali, Ninad, Omkar, Sai, Ashwini, Karishma etc. And now even Virat is yelling 🤦

Virat is the only one who tries to diffuse the situation, which ALWAYS get out of hand bcoz NO ONE, not a single person in that house is ready to back down. Apparently other than Virat, no one has heard the word "compromise".

Lagta hai inn sabko bhi IPS ki training dilwani padegi taaki yeh sab har baat ko ego issue nah bana lein & learn how to speak & handle situations calmly.

Also Sai baby you need to learn to calm down. You dont need to answer back at everything. Just ignore these people. Walk away. Yelling at elders bcoz they are yelling at you is NOT good behaviour/manners & "temper issues" excuse can only excuse you for so long. (And before anyone says Sai is justified in shouting back at elders, no she isn't. That's no way to talk to your elders. It comes off as badtameezi & this kind of behaviour is not tolerated anywhere, specially not at your in-laws. We don't even talk like that to our parents, who forgive us for anything. In-laws to bohot dur ki baat hai.)

Virat's outburst was longtime coming. He has over & over told Sai to change her tone. Dude doesn't stop her from speaking her mind but her confrontational attitude & shouting at elders is what Virat takes issue with. Which is absolutely understandable. The way Sai answers back the elders is not tolerated anywhere.

Shouting only increases the fights. It doesnt solve anything. Today Virat said whatever he wanted calmly. Which is exactly how you resolve issues.

But since everyone except Virat, thinks that's not how normal humans behave, they will resort to shouting again tomorrow. And drag Virat through the mud as well.

I will condemn everyone for unnecessary shouting & yelling, especially Virat, bcoz he knows better. His family & Sai don't, but he does. He' an IPS officer, he's trained to be calm & collected in situations. He shouldn't lose his temper like the way he did in precap.

Not sure about others but I expect Virat to be better than his family & Sai bcoz he has always handled situations more calming & maturely, unlike his family & Sai, who resort to bullying & shouting.

But I am giving Virat the benefit of doubt & wait for tomorrow's episode to see why he lost his temper.

I want the character of Virat to be strong and better because he is the Male lead, he is someone on whom the whole story is based and if he manages to get audience against him then suddenly it will not be about him but any other character.

I want him to be strong and vocal about his family drama and shutting all of them up.

I have seen just one episode in between from bengali and tamil Version and I just loved the guy from tamil version. His character was strong and amazing, like how a male lead should be. I wish Virat was based more like tamil version!

Being an IPS officer doesn't mean anyone can berate his family and he listen. He has already warned her to tone down.

But Sai has a habit of taking everything for granted. She has to mend her ways....if she wishes. Else be ready to move back to hostel.

Lovely post. Agree, the reason needs to be known.

Thank goodness for this post! I totally agree, & have posted on other threads. I am very disturbed to see many posts here saying “go, Sai” cheering her for how she spoke to Ninad. To those who think its ok, I want to ask :

If ur mother didnt like the kind of clothes u choose to wear & scolded u often for that, u may argue with her but wld u tell her to shut up?

And how can u forget that Ninad is the father of your husband? He is the reason ur hubby is well educated & well provided for enough to become an IPS officer. When Virat was small, like any father Ninad must hv spent sleepless nights tending to him, sore back days carrying him on shoulders, anxious times supporting him UPSC exams. Can all that be forgotten because he treats his DIL badly?

We all say in initial episodes how much Virat respected & relied on Ninad. If u care for & respect ur hubby how can u insult someone he respects?

Relationships in a family are not transactional. That means, we don’t respect our mother only as long as she does something for us & speaks nicely to us. We love & respect her, regardless of everything.

Nice post. Have been saying the same thing but not so eloquently.

All the characters are flawed. Some more so. Sai is not flawless. She does need to tone down. I love her for her ability to fight back but the way she does it should be different. I think that’s what Virat advised her to do.

I’m sure that is where we will hopefully see growth in these characters.

To be honest i think virat’s outburst was long coming...he has time and again told Sai to tone down her speech around the chavans but she keeps ignoring it...he doesn’t stop her when she is saying whats right but he stops her when she gets carried away in her rants.

His reaction is precisely because of two things

1. He knows Sai is good at heart but is always called names by his family because of her rants.

2. And Its Virat and His Mom who he is dear to him who always have to bear the brunt of Sai’s actions.

He is tired of explaining both sides but no one listens to him.

Another reason is he is afraid if this continues he would have no choice but to support Sai in her decision to move to hostel which he doesn’t want.

He knows Sai is right in her accusations but Rome was not built in a day. And the mindsets of these ppl wont change in a day obviously. She has to learn to ignore the silly jibes of the chavans not for others but also for herself. She has started her mbbs clg and how long is she gonna keep fighting with them everyday at home.

It’s precisely because of Sai herself, his mom and others who support Sai that he wants her to handle things smartly.

@red exactly, and if sai can swallow her pride and bring back stonelekha just for virat's happiness then why cant she toned down her anger for him. Hate to say it but, sometimes sai really behaves like immature bachhi.

Ah ha! Someone said it. I am not the only one here who feels that virat might not be completely wrong.

On the first day of college when virat gave her lecture, I was with sai because that day his advice was completely out of context and misplaced.

But now Specially after the way sai talked with ninad....I think virat is right at his own place. Sai needs to calm down and control her anger because it ultimately backfires on her only. She actually comes as an immature, angry, badtameez ladki as the chakrams keep calling her. In such times the fact that she stood up for justice takes back seat and only her anger speaks.

I know that virat ko chillana nahi chahiye tha but what can he do if sai doesn't give a shit about his advice in spite of repeated warnings.
