Didn't Kareena tell the audience that they should turn off their tv if they don't like whatever is on it? So maybe she should follow her own advice for a change 😆

No, she had said the same people complaining about nepotism are the people that throng to watch a Varun Dhawan film. She said it's the audience that's made us, not some nepotism. So if audience has a problem with someone they should not watch their films. ALL VALID POINTS. Only the WhatsApp community decided to take it outta context and only show 2 lines out of her entire point just to continue the hate movement using SSR's name. It's all political. And nobody sees it.

and kareena who has been racist and known to spread gossip about other stars is having a problem with people judging them for their problematic behaviour 😆

As usual, nobody has watched the interview to understand the context. Ironically what she just said. You take an out of context statement and then couple it with your perception of the celeb and done.

She's not complaining. She didn't go on this show to be a victim. This ENTIRE portion that TM posted is in response to Barkha's question.
"what is your view of the industry staying silent in light of all this trolling and attacking. Why this cowardly behavior"

hence this response which is actually very well balanced. That she doesn't blame people for staying quiet because you'll get attacked anyway.

I don't know if it was printed here, but I'm the actual interview she DID say that it's ok, and it's the life they've chosen on one hand.

At 57.47 she says it's ok, they're public figures

Since that’s the case according to you no one owns to their mistakes , then why give gyan ? Let everyone take on everyone like mobs and let each of them fend for themselves.

You gave so much discourse on not taking offense from saif’s comments , USA laws ..etc give some gyan to your racist star .

I can get started on her high handed privileged comments running down everyone on print . Who are you kidding ... go check some old time magazine scans .

On one hand, there is more technological freedom but on the other hand, there is more animosity. Everyone seems to think they can say or do anything without consequence. That is what has entered Bollywood too except it’s a reverse phenomenon in an otherwise quite protected industry.

The problem with Bollywood people is that they have always lived in a bubble - doing whatever they want, not having any consequences, getting away with being exclusive, too much money with no empathy for anyone else, protecting each other and their businesses. All of this has gotten exposed and they have realised that the nepotistic kids are actually beginning to look quite over-privelefged over priced and under talented.
This is now making the old hats very worried. Kareena knows its not going to be as easy for Taimur to get into movies as it was for her - the scrutiny is real and she thought she can control it but actually she is realising she cannot

Welcome to the actual real world!!!

So , right ! With so many star kids and star kids in waiting ... think about it , saif only has 4 now ... and there are other stars , outsiders giving birth to insiders ... it’s a crowd ..: friends won’t remain friends for long .kjo has his own kids to launch .

Also , I think it’s okay they live in their bubble , swim in hedonism. If only they stop lecturing us . None of them have any moral scruples ... just for movies and few endorsements they will sabotage anyone ... they have made horrible comments on fellow women yet lecture people on women empowerment. They hold grudges , yet tell public to do the opposite.

Most of them are borderline criminals and some hardcore . Maybe people will leave them alone ... if they stop pretending /preaching to be Better or more educated or aware to public .Because we know they are not .

Yes, to your point.

But that is the nature of the whole technologically free acrimony. It results in everything being turned on its head - people are either obsequious (like rabid fans of the so called bollywood star) or delusional (like the so called bollywood star themselves). And while media should be asking the right questions to create and maintain balance, the media in our country has either become sycophantic or helpless. Basically some version of obsessed and delusional themselves.

Barkha should have been asking the woman some really hard hitting questions, and as for her answers they really say nothing except going round in circles of things already said that let them play a victim card either directly or indirectly.

The whole engagement with media is agenda driven . Neither Barkha called her to ask hard questions nor will these stars ever put themselves in that position. This the same old case of blaming people for not worshipping them enough. Both media and Bollywood are hand in glove ... the public are the villains. They want public to be herds.

Can you tell me bunch of telugu movies that you have seen ( non tier 1 stars) ? Telugu movies tier 2( the NON top stars and their spawn) ...have been so good in the last 5 years.

The top stars do the routine trope...pander to fandom and they very unabashadly say so...where female actors (flower pots like pooja hegde) just make an appearence before a song and move on. A lot of them did not even work in box office . BUT, that is not telugu cinema we , telugu people ..like or even mildy proud of.

People watch commercial stars movies and judge South cinema.

Absolutely. Time and again, the public is being dumbed down. This I see is the biggest difference between what the US media did and the India media did during these crazy acrimonious times. US media consistently was trying to achieve balance and those who were on extreme sides were being called out, here in India - there is no balance, so no checks and public is forever going berserk on two ends of the spectrum. It’s like you said one has an agenda and the other one is playing into the agenda or taking an extreme opposite view of the agenda - which is exactly what the public does. The media IS NOT supposed to be public, they are supposed to be those who bring the FACTS to the public. The agenda driven people - politicians or actors or corporations will twist facts, the people will interpret facts according to their beliefs BUT the media must assess the facts, study them and research the truth. The Media does not do any of this- becos it takes too much hard work. The media that gives you one side and presents a non factual side is plain lazy and by that they make us public lazy and dumb. This is affecting our thinking... majorly!

she was still playing the victim card .. if she knows that’s the life she chose then why even bother to come to this interview and act like it’s us who are at fault .. or why even bother to give any statements regarding ppl calling them out ..
