In South India especially Andhra - Bua's daughter in law would be referred to as sister in relations.

So virat and pakhi would have been brother and sister had the serial back drop been a telugu family🤣

Yes, it is also true in some parts of Maharashtra. I am Marathi and in my family, we do call bua's DIL as a sister.
