In today's episode, Pakhi rushed to her room and cried, she was clutching her Mangalsutra, remembering what Sai said about her husband being MIA. What do you think that signifies? They didn't immediately show her thinking about Virat, though she did say that "meri dosti ke liye jagah nahi hai" dialogue later, her first reaction was clutching her mangalsutra and breaking down.

I personally feel that it was in this scene that Samrat's absence actually hit her, not because she feels something for him, but because none of this would have happened to her had he been there. And there's also probably a little bit of guilt at the back of her mind, because he left after he found out about Pakhi - Virat, and she hadn't bothered about it till then. It's only when a 3rd person pointed it out, it actually jerked her to her senses.

What do you guys think about this scene?? Thoughts please...

Love,

Niya🤗

Hi Niya,

I sort of have a conflicting view to the scene from this AM. Despite my brain desperately trying to ship Pakhi and Samrat, I think she's never viewed him for what he is or tried thinking about his treatment. He's so far in the portrayal, merely been a crutch for her to gain entry to this household.

I started watching this Show for Sai. But as I learnt this was a Bengali re-make, the mechanics kinda made sense to me. There are numerous films in Bengali which explore this very precarious --> bhabhi devar relationship. Some of my favourites being Charulatha, Kadambari and more recently Bulbul. I won't lie, I've always been sympathetic to the Bhabhi in those movies...as those classics try and explore the reasons for loneliness, the emotional neglect and the comfort offered between two souls without transcending into any sort of physical connotations.

Perspective I guess matters :)

On this end, maybe it is similar, except despite how it's drawn up, it's actually Samrat who offers the hand of comfort, that emotional connect and fills the gaps of neglect that she feels. Clearly this is not how they are showing her cos she's more like the little piggy who made their house with straw and now being like how dare you huff and puff!! I don't think Pakhi has ever faced rejection in her life before, and this is a new experience for her since Virat times. For me the tears were more for herself than actually any remote guilt she might feel for Samrat.

I thought so too when that scene came by

But the scene with her parents undid all of that. Her thoughts were only about Virat. Even during her exit, she kept using Samrat as the shield while speaking of Virat as the reason for her disappointment. The way she sat down to coolly drink the water, I don't know why but I thought her expression said she was still in the game and is waiting for the next move from her opponent.

I don't trust her intentions yet. It's more anger of rejection and being 'put down' or not being 'chosen' by Virat. I don't think the realisation can hit her so soon.

@ Bold Did you notice the exchange between Pakhi and her father? Her father said," Aaj samrat hota to aisz kuchh nahi hota" and Pakhi gave him that look (You know Samrat doesn't matter (exists) for me) and her father got the answer (For Pakhi Samrat has no relevance). Then there was sigh of disappointment (his daughter is wrong), hurt (doting father that he is, can't see his daughter in pain).

The scene she had with her parents is hinting otherwise
