Kahaani toh kuch hogi mahi yet I am excited for this caz these 2 have that 90's wala charm and screen presence to deliver a slapstick comedy and the bits into railor do look funny some of them. I actually am intrested in the songs more caz ek toh how the remakes will be of the 2 songs and their dance caz again they had that 90's wala energy. Behan you are only rubbing him.the wrong way by being a rebel and majboor karooing him to think more and more about things you probably want him not to think about right now uppar se Raman and durgesh ki mind politics and then the ultimate vision after all the mudslinging on gulaal dushyant ka chalitar and Hungama boy oh boy * the melodrama doom tana tana music playing in my head* and then the ultimate pressure cooker ka phatna and zan se slap padna keaar ko woh bhi from gulaal and for DUSHYANT ka maan Samaan

Now 👏 😮 👏 at the ultimate explode scene after all that kesar was jhelooing that really wasn't the time to blame him again and uske andar ka lava bahar aa hi gaya at last tha ks to motha bha tagging him irresponsible again I mean really mothabha. Totally team kesar here he was BANG ON about everything he said woh Vasant nahi hai. I have felt this all along that they are putting too much weight on his shoulders bythe constant comparisons to Vasant and having way too many expectations and not allowing him to even put any wish or any dream of his forth and yeh toh sach hi hai. He was bang on ke aapko mujhme Vasant ko dekhna hai but main Vasant nahi hokn na hi kabhi ban sakta hoon. Truth . Yeh toh elders ka fault raha hai they haven't really risen above the loss of Vasant in all this time too and have unnecessarily burdened kesar on all fronts and then not giving him ittu sa bhi space to breathe and be himself and yeh toh ek din hona hi tha.
It reminds me of mothabha saying to Gina ke humne hi expectation zyada rakh liye apne bachon se few episodes ago jab Raman came back and wanted the nomination as ghaf ka beta🤣 It is a failure in parenting but that is whole other discussion. Right now they are taking all their frustrations on kesar he has sort of become a punching bag for all jisko jis baat ki frustration hoti hai woh kesar ke kisi chote se disobedience main nikal jaati hai. Not saying ke he is always right but this time he was. He clearly told mothabha not now plz but usme bhi mithabha ko uski badtameezi dikhi. They have to understand he is not a kid and a robot and so much is going around and he is trying to process.
Pehle hi gaoon walon ki baatein fueling his shak all that bhawandar inside him then his mother cleared gulaal ka stance in front of him and just when he wanted to negate all that and stand by her seeing what he saw and misunderstanding all that to that extent it didn't helped caz it was fresh after the hottopic in gaoon kya kuch soch lia and phir jab he pointed ke har koi galat hai yahan but baaki sabke Gina chupaye jaate hain he wasn't wrong from his pov caz jahan qoh khada hai yehi ho raha hai and if all that was not enough GULAAL ended up slapping him for DUSHYAnT oh boy oh boy. Gulaal did it in gist of the moment to teach him to.obey and maintain his maryaadas but behan that was not the time totally wrong timing ab yeh toh koi bohat bada toofan laayega hi it is meant to throw him.more off the path har koi is fueling the doubt making him lonely he has absolutly nobody not one soul he can say any of this not one talli se bhi yeh nahi keh sakta atleast gulaal dushyant have each other to say their pain and hurt too . Again on that front too the scene that actually happened inside the room deserves another essay. Guilt ka maara dushyant them.discussing woh ek lamha gulaal chalni of all those accusations and then saying you have no idea what you ha e snatched from me and his kashmakash woh manjhdhar main phasna hona woh ek lamhe ka bhool killing hi. He genuinly wants to fix things but ab bohat daer ho gayi uppar se his why didn't you punish me then and gulaal'a maaf nahi kia Don't ever think that I am just fulfilling the promise . Oh I can't my mind is🤯🤯
And then the last look exchange between gulaal and talli gulaal sitting or rather almost falling on that chair after the slap and kesar leaving trying to.process the gravity of the situation I am speechless. Her absolute command to him that he will have to.fulfill every expectation kesar ko bhi manan padega the authority in it but that is gonna wound keaar more and hurt his ego too in ways. The respect of there but yeh sahi nahi kia gulaal ne in that delicate moment. I forsee greater problems and issues rising ahead due to this she needs to try and understand talk to kesar just like she used too give him.the attention he asked for not as a wife but aise hi regularly that will soften him.win his trust back not pushing him away and gulaal.has only been doing that or going against everything he says unintentionally that doesn't help the cause at all and they are becoming more and more distant due to it.

LOL yes, I also didn't want to spoil it for you so I didn't give you the actual detail of the reason for the angst.....but now you can understand why exactly Kesar was in so much turmoil. As you said, it was a pressure cooker situation for him for 10 years....there was no one he could talk to about what he saw, how to rationalize it.....such a complicated thing because he only learnt the half truth....that Dushyant murdered his beloved brother Vasant...but he didn't know that Dushyant repented/reformed since then....and he didn't know why Gulaal ultimately forgave Dushyant too and supported him....and these half truths just created a total volcanic turmoil in his mind for soooo many years. It's such richly textured angst....like once in a generation type writing it felt....we were totally FLOORED watching it😆.
Watching Kesar is like watching a ticking time bomb, that can explode any minute. So agree on once in a GENERATION type writing!I know there's a LOT to discuss cuz there is so much nuance in every little thing😆....but I'm looking forward to reading your takes on the big scenes whenever you get to them :)

I watched till Gulaal falling sick after drowning in water and Kesar tending to her! I heaved a momentary sigh of relief for both of them:) Felt like Kesar might have slept with sukoon after a long time. His letters to Gulaal just shows the depth of his turmoil and questions and confusion he has💔, they are so nicely placed in the story.
The outdoor scene in the mango orchard was so beautifully shot! My heart shattered for Gulaal there. She made fulfilling Vasants dream her life goal, and in the process completely stopped living for herself. She did not even remember what her personal likes and dislikes were anymore💔 The transformation from chulbuli, bindaas Gulaal of Vasant to present Gulaal is so stark and unsettling. At that point I felt like smacking Kesar for behaving the way he does with Gulaal😆 I feel bad for each and everyone of them in turns, even Talli. ( which frankly I just never thought I will😆) But then everyone in right in their own place, its just the situation that complicates things for everyone.
KG meeting for the first time in 10 years was ❤️ Kesar atleast got to see Gulaal whenever she came to meet him, but for Gulaal she saw him literally for the first time in 10 years. Last time she saw him he was a kid! All her emotions came spilling out, happiness, pride, hurt and everything she was holding back. Kesar too got to see her properly finally, but just as he gets all emotional , he remembers what he saw that day and tries hurting her as much with his words 💔 The coin thing he does everytime he wants to take a jab or hurt someone with his words.
How ironical that the first thing he does after coming back is thrash Durgeshs goons and the first person he meets is Dushyant!

i loved their expressions after when he is trying to gather his composure again and her telling him to leave
and then ofcourse this just the mere fact taht he was so khoya hua in his emotion that he didn't even realize that he held her in his hands the look on his face when he realizes that he was holding her all this time and was hurting her unknowingly

@bold: Re: the pallu....well, we used to call this her "Galool" mode😆.....her using the pallu as a shield to hide behind when she couldn't cope with Kesar's directness.....the "maryada" is one she rigidly tries to hide behind....it wasn't really about reminding Kesar...it was more about reminding herself.....since she spent her whole life living like a martyr after Vasant's death, she didn't allow herself to feel anything else.....this was a scene where Kesar crossed a "boundary" in the flow of the moment in a sense and for the first time it hit Gulaal that hard that Kesar's feelings were raw and real....not some childish crush.
It was hilarious that she instantly ran to her maayka after this....as if just avoiding Kesar would make him go to Talli instead😆....but this was typical Gulaal in that phase......high level escapism....she will bury her head in the sand even more after he confesses his love.....it becomes clearer after that just how much she is deliberately repressing herself when it comes to Kesar.....hiding herself behind memories of Vasant, deliberately painting Kesar's feelings as "paap"....it's a whole evolution.

Oh you've reached the episode when she slaps him in front of everyone.....I wish I could say this was the last slap😆.
But yeah, this was a super charged scene......only Gulaal and Kesar were privy to the undercurrents that built up to this moment.....only we as the audience know that the slap was more about Gulaal taking out her frustration on Kesar than anything else.....yes, Kesar was also riled up in the moment....but Gulaal going to the level of slapping him was more about a retaliation for the pareshaani scene after which she'd started to feel a loss of control over the situation and Kesar going out of hand on all fronts.....whether it was the way he spoke to the elders, to Dushyant or even to her.
Yes, it was unfair of the family to expect Kesar to fill Vasant's shoes so what Kesar said was valid here.....but at the same time, the family's position is also understandable because they had no one else left to have expectations from.....there is a reason the story called Kesar Vasant's dream from day one.....with Vasant gone, the onus started to fall even more on Kesar to fill the void left behind by Vasant.....to live up to Vasant's dreams and the family's dreams....and whenever he didn't do that and instead just kept rudely lashing out at everyone, not showing interest in stabilizing his life, that built up the tensions. The family had no way of knowing what was really driving Kesar's frustrated behavior so they continued to remain confused about how he would talk to them.
Abhi toh bahut time lagega for people to begin to understand Kesar's mind and how it's working.....lol.....many flashpoints remain....but you will get your wish regarding Kesar-MB convos and Kesar-Dushyant convos soon.
There's a really good Kesar-Dushyant scene in a bus coming up.....and then the Vat Savitri pooja epis will bring another turning point and more high drama.
