This scene is a hall of famer in the Gulaal storyline....I think I've tried to gif it like 5 times but I never feel I've done justice to it😆.

I see why is it hall of fame matlab what emotions seriously toofan and all the other adjectives people use for sadela stuff these days. I want to specifically discuss every bit of nuance in this right from the moment he wals in to gulaal shutting it all off with her ab tu jaa not answering anything shaken by the question thay came for her in that unexpected moment she was already a bit taken aback with his behavior and then ghussa caz he came drunk but she still did expect that he will put such a big question in front of her all that was going on in his head confusing him so much expecting her to be around her that the expectatiosn and started despite his idc ho away behavior he wanted her to take intrest and that wasn't only caz of DV that was caz he was hers regardless and gave her that haq and wanted it but isko galat jagah se mol raha tha woh which was pissing him off too ke gulaal apbi jagah talli ko chipka deti hai

Yes, I understand your point as well....his directness has a streak of innocence in the way he asks questions....usually only a child's heart has this almost naive way of asking things without thinking of consequences....this grown up Kesar's zidd is mainly his way of expressing his love and haq for Gulaal in the only way he knows....since there is so much he isn't able to express to her, he expresses it through his zidd....like that is his workaround to showing his claim on her without having to deal with the complicated confusions swirling in his mind.....a battle between his heart which always loved and trusted Gulaal and his mind which is confused about what he saw and heard that day.....and being torn apart like this makes him act up again.....this storm only calms down a bit when he finally realizes he loves her.....but then a new storm takes hold too.

LOLL I actually didn't watch the Pareshaani scene in real time either😆.....at around that time toh I was busy doing like a vintage rewatch of LTL after MR had left😆.....and I was bored around the June timeframe and chanced upon a GK VM on YT....toh wahaan se scenes mile, I caught up and mainly started watching in real time in June when the Kesar-Talli wedding track was on.

It was only later during the forum discussions that I got to discuss the Pareshaani scene in detail with other people and talk about all the nuances. LOL omg yes, the scene is damn hard to color😆....another reason why I've tried so many times, and then I give up cuz I get tired in the middle of gif-ing it😆.

Yes, the build up to this scene was coming from the Sarpanch waali argument only...Gulaal had started to sense the shifts in Kesar but she'd been deliberately trying to block it all out even though there had been many instances where Kesar had shown hints of what his emotions towards her are (the "khule baalon mein zyada achhi lagti hai" scene, the chunar gift)....she just didn't want to believe it. And then came this scene where it hit her like a ton of bricks.....that is the brilliance of this scene.....notice how there are no closeups of the hand placements or how close they are in one frame....most of the scene is directed via their individual close-ups so the entire focus is on their individual expressions and it is simply with those that they end up conveying the high intensity angst so well.

This scene is a textbook example of the fact that you don't need to show two people in cliched "hawt" poses with emphasis on kaise kamar pakdi, kaise haath pakda to prove some kind of "passion"......here all Kesar did was hold her shoulders and pull her a bit closer and utne mein hi the passion is conveyed. Then the entire range of emotions on Gulaal's face as he hears him verbalize every swirl of emotion he is feeling....how much she is the cause of his turmoil.....and how he's always thought their worlds were intertwined....but he feels her pulling away now and THAT is the source of his pain.....in that moment, Gulaal fully knew what he felt....and she STILL chose to bury her head in the sand after this also....cuz it would just be too much to accept this truth or acknowledge it.

The moment some epis later when it all gets laid bare in front of Motabha and the LOOK Motabha gives her then is priceless too😆.....the guilt on her face.....lol

Managed to squeeze out one more batch....and I'm tired again😆

Re: the scene....yeah, maybe it's that very directness that was such a unicorn in the business of ITV that drew me to them too....Kesar actually was a jumble of contradictions here....he was direct with her about some things but not about his larger issues which he couldn't bring himself to confront her about for quite a while.

But yes, your point is bang on....despite all his confusions about Gulaal, he still wanted her to become the Sarpanch....he always put Gulaal on a higher pedestal than everyone else, except for maybe Vasant.....and by this phase, he had started mellowing towards her again briefly after all his initial rude behavior with her....but then her choosing Dushyant for Sarpanch just threw him off all over again and the storm began raging inside him again. baat toh wohi hai na that makes it so much harder for him and for us too jab bhi uska zakhm kuch bharne lagta hai of sorts kisi na kisi tarah woh kuraid diya jaata hai kabhi kisi ke haath or kabhi kisi ke and baaki toh yeh kisi na kisi tarah deal kar hi leta hai but jab gulaal isko kured deti hai unknowingly toh woh phir full vengeance ke saath hara ho jaata hai and that is when he loses control goes and does something irresponsible in eyes of others and phir everyoen ends up deemign it as his childishness lack of responsibility call him disappointment yada yada without even giving him a chance to explain his side. kitni baar he hasn't been wrong like that whole beating the guy incident but nahi sabne isko doshi maan liya hai despite him telling the truth ya everytime he leaves talli behind i get it ok it is risky and dangerous and irresponsible but woh bhi koi kam nahi hai itna tang karti hai ke banda kya kare phir

You've reached the Pareshaani scene and that's obviously one of the pinnacles of the show.....but if you can imagine, it gets even more volatile after that in some ways.....in this scene, we see Kesar's extreme vulnerability and he's still confused enough to be thrown off by her in the end as she asks him to let her go....but you'll see a whole new Kesar after he confronts her about Dushyant....and the ultimate change after he confesses his love to her.

i can't wait for it honestly it keeps picking up and every episode has such gems i am forced to repeat view take my time get all the feelz again. word about how he was thrown off by the intensity of his own emotions and how he actually voiced it out . i esp loved the bit where she reminds him of the maryaada in their "current relationship" by subtly pulling her palloo up that is such a masterstroke. not a word but that action itself reminding everything to him not that he was crossing his boundary in any way all he had was held her by her shoulder but given the complexity of their relationship and where they were standing in that moment it was kind of genius. also it was gulaal's way of pushing him back and suppressing her own emotions she was shook obviously but she was also not prepared for anything and didn't wanted to complicate anything further because that was such a weak moment for him and when i say weak i don't mean in a lustful or haasil karna way it was weak emotionally and he craved her presence in his life as the ultimate as hers everything but she was denying it in ways that made him insecure mostly unknowlingly given his initial behavior caz she was confused and hurt ke aise kyon kar raha hai and now i feel yeh more knowingly will shut him off and push him back becuase she is more cautious now and aware of the bhadhti intensity and badalata emotions and nature of the relationship also constant reminders from others that they aren't just the peers they were before they are bonded into something more.

i loved their expressions after when he is trying to gather his composure again and her telling him to leave

and then ofcourse this just the mere fact taht he was so khoya hua in his emotion that he didn't even realize that he held her in his hands the look on his face when he realizes that he was holding her all this time and was hurting her unknowingly

damn it hotstar just bloody upload so it is easier for us to catch whenever we want caz iss tarah parts yaad nahi rehte kisme kya hai.

agreed and somehow this is the only way which gets gulaal's attention too it works she also somehow doesn't notice it until he does something as dramatic lol i mean she is trying to understand and then she did backoff due to his rudeness with her she took a step back but after things started getting better she went back to enforcing talli on him and that goes overboard mostly lol so even though he does listen and does what gulaal wants somewhere that has been a constant why too and that irritates him further. gulaal refuses to see it in his bodylanguage sometimes that he isn't in agreement caz she still takes him as a child and his nakhre phir isko kuch extreme karna padta hai to remind her ke yeh bacha nahi hai. hahah gulaal ki bhi galti nahi hai she has been conditioned to see him as that and the love and care was too deep to now just get rid of in a day woh organically uska mom behaviornikal hi aata hai🤣 i finally am understanding the mom wala reference😆 caz she goes woh toh bacha hai usse kuch pata nahi and goes onto makign a decision on his behalf ke woh kya karega kiske saath aayega jaayega etc etc and not liek he doesn't want it but he wants gulaal to be part of all that too along with him
