This story is in Bhagvatham and Harivansh

2. He looks very similar to Krishna and takes advantage of that and molests some of the wives of Krishna whom he had rescued from Narakasura. Krishna curses him with leprosy for this. He eventually visits some theertha and does penance to Surya to get rid of the curse.

This story is in skanda Purana and some other ones as well

3. He disguises himself as a pregnant woman to mock Rishis and asks them to guess the gender of the child he is carrying who then curse him that he give birth to an iron club which will destroy Yadavas.

The above is in Mahabharata Bhagvatham and Harivansh.

There is no mention of him or aniruddh etc going to any gurukul. Sandipani was only Krishna and Balrama's guru

However his being near about same age as his nephew aniruddh is correct. He would be just couple of years older than Abhimanyu and was adult at the time of Mahabharata war. Pradyumna most likely 20-25 years older.

Problem for Swastik if they show all this is then they will have to explain how the great and might Balram could've supported a rapist like Samba. They might have to explain what Balram did with Yamuna, one of Krishna's wives.

Samba didn't molest Krishna's wives. They slept with him apparently mistaking him for Krishna. Highly doubt any woman would do that no matter how similar they looked. It's not difficult to tell between a 50-some year old and a 20-some year old. Also, my feeling is that it was syphilis, not leprosy. Sun temple is the clue since the disease is supposed to be a curse of Sun God.

Production house needs to justify everyone of the yadavas but Samba. Hence all this nonsense.

The Mahabharata and the Devi Bhagavata Purana narrate the story of the birth of Samba. Samba looked exactly like Krishna and Krishna taught him all his leelas and became notorious and naughty like Krishna's younger days. Later Samba played an instrumental role in the destruction of the Yadu dynasty.

According to scriptures, Krishna had 10 sons from each of his wives except Jambavati. She prayed for a kid , for that krishna did penance for Shiva , with Shiva's blessings Jambavati delivered a son Samba. The most well-known of his sons was Pradyumna.

There is one interesting story in all major puranas---

Pradyumna and Samba grew up looking identical to his father and used that to his advantage to play tricks on the people of the Yadava clan. He became insolent as the son of Krishna and disregarded all dharma. Once, Krishna was angry at Samba’s unpardonable misdeed, he cursed his own son to be infected with leprosy so that everyone would be able to recognize the real Krishna. After Jambavati’s fervent pleading Krishna finally relented and advised Samba to pray to Surya. Only after Samba performed 12 years of strict penance, and built temples for Surya ---Konark Sun Temple is one that is said to be built by Samba, was he cured of his ailment.

Another time, great rishis Vishwamitra, Durvasa, Vashista, Narada, etcβ€” came to visit Dwarka. Samba and his juvenile friends decided to play a prank on the rishis. Samba disguised himself as a pregnant woman asked, β€œO great rishis, please tell me if I’m going to have a son or a daughter.” they felt insulted, and cursed Samba, β€œNeither. You will give birth to an iron mace that will be responsible for the death of your entire clan!”

And true to word, Samba delivered an iron mace, the very next day, after painful labour. When King Ugrasen was told about this, he advised Samba and his young friends to grind down the mace and cast it into Prabhas sea. However, the careless boys left a tiny piece of the iron mace intact, and cast it, as is, into the sea. Over the years, the ground up iron washed onto the shore and grew into Eraka grass. The Yadavas used the grass to make weapons. Once, during festivities, a fight broke out amongst the Yadavas, and it ended with the entire clan destroyed. The unground bit of the iron ended up in the stomach of a fish that was caught by a hunter named Jara. Jara used the piece as the tip of an arrow.

One day, while Krishna was meditating under a tree, Jara mistook his partly visible left foot and shot at it. When he discovered that it was Krishna he shot fatally, Jara pleaded for forgiveness. Yet Krishna, who knew that it was time for him to shed this avatar and go back to heaven.

Thus, Samba was directly responsible for the end of Yadava clan and indirectly responsible for the death of his own father.

they have messed up each and every character to an extent now that there is no return. This punarmilan will also seem like one illogical sequence which will have no head or tail. This clearly shows that they have no conscience. This is all about money and making the mass teenage fans happy. I will pray and hope that indeed one day everyone involved, and i mean everyone, bears the fruits of this so called nonsensical story.

Lol they have been already telling since last 2 years why Radha is more important to Krishna than everything. Why to make a specific track about it?

Are u sure the show will go off air next month? If so then I would be more than happy.

The promo is so so problematic. Krishna in reality had never neglected his wives. Yes, Radha's place in his heart was bigger but he never behaved like a 'lovesick puppy who just can't live without her and want her to be with him forever at the cost of everything'.

I would be really glad if this show ends soon. The way they're fooling the teenage fans and portraying RK in a wrong way, it's really intolerable.

There was no Radha in MBh or Harivamsa or Bhagavatham.

Radha is seen first in Jayadeva's Gita Govindam. Her origin comes from folklore and is likely related to Nalpinnai, a child bride of Krishna's when he was in Gokul as per Southern stories.

The only religious texts Radha is seen in are the puranas which were written later. For ex, Brahma Vaivarta Purana is plain fan fiction where all tridevi are in love with Krishna. More or less like Indonesian Mahabharata where all women are in love with Arjuna.

Krishna married for political reasons, not love. In fact, there is good reason to doubt the existence if Rukmini as per Canon texts on Krishna since Pradyumna is stated bluntly to be older than her. Jambavati was a rescue marriage. Satyabhama was the one Krishna married as an arranged deal, and hence the suggestion she was his favorite wife.
