Welcome to Shantivan! This is the place where Ladke wale (Groom's side) will prepare for all events in the marriage.

Like all marriages, we have the two sides Ladke wale (Groom's side) and Ladki wale (Bride's side). This thread is for those on the Groom's side, for those on the Bride's side, the link is -

Note : Once you join one side, please refrain from wandering over to the other side's thread. The events will only be fun if you don't know what the other side has prepared - so there will be something new to see at that time.

We are lacking Photographer (Edits and Graphics maker) and Videographer (VM maker). If you know someone good at this, you can contact and recruite them. Infact, you can call in your friends or anyone else you would like to have on your side. The more the merrier
The wedding celebration has all the functions that Arshi performed in their marriage. And we will celebrate each one differently. Different roles will play importance in different events.
But the roles are not there to restrict. Irrespective of the role, anyone can take part in any of the ongoing preparations at any point.
Here is what each one of us has to do :
Costume and Jewelry Designers - Will be looking for outfits and accessories for Arnav in every ceremony. Regarding rest of the Raizada family, outfit and accessories for Marriage function is necessary. In other events, if you wish to and have time for it, you can go ahead and dress the family too.
Suggestions : You can try themes like Yellow / White for everyone at Haldi or something like that if you are going to do it for all family members. Or try coordinating outfits for couples like Payash and so on. These are just suggestions, I leave the rest completely upto you.
Rest of the family = Nani, Mama-Mami, Akash-Payal, Anjali, NK.
[Including Shyam, Dadi, HP, Laxmi, etc is upto you 😆]
Other preparations are specific to each event :
1. Shagun -
Gifts have to brought for the bride and her family members.
That is - Khushi, Shashi-Garima, Buaji (you can gift Payal too if you want).
Suggestions - Try to think of meaningful gifts that are specific to each one, something that they would like and use.
2. Roka -
Select a Ring for Khushi.
3. Kuldevi Puja -
Photographers job here. You have to make edits / graphics using any scenes from the show that was in a religious place or during a religious ceremony.
Eg. Scenes from that Dargah (mannat ki chabi one), Teej, Havan during Payash marriage, Kuldevi puja in their remarriage, Janmashtami celebration, etc.
Just pick up any scenes where there in dargah / temple or doing Puja / Hawan.
4. Mehendi -
Select pictures of Mehendi designs for the Groom's family members.
That includes Mami, Anjali and Payal here.
5. Haldi -
MC (Writers) will prepare for this event. You have to write something on the Haldi theme - it can be a fictional take from your imagination or you can write about the scenes from show itself (Haldi during Payash marriage and Remarriage track). Write anything you like just keeping the theme in mind.
6. Sangeet -
Photographers and Videographers will make GIFs / VMs based on the theme dance.
It can be Arshi together (Eg. Teri-Meri, contract marriage Honeymoon time dance, Preeto's wedding, Teri-Meri during kidnap, Karvachauth, etc)
Or it can be only of them (eg. Khushi has danced at Payash Sangeet, Bachelor's party, even randomly she has danced a lot; Arnav danced for Khushi in their Sangeet).
You can also take scenes with family members' dance if you want (Eg. Payash Sangeet, Heer-Ranjha backstage dancing, Holi, Arshi Mehendi, etc)
Basically the characters have to be dancing in the majority of GIF / VM.
7. Marriage -
There is no theme. Any and all edits, GIFS, VMs, Writings are welcomed for the Marriage ceremony. 😃
Posting of old work again should be avoided. Please try to make something new ones even if they are short. In the case of Writing, Edits, VMs, all of them will be put up in the wedding celebrations thread.
For rest of the things like clothes, jewelry and gifts - you can send as many suggestions as you want in this thread but only one per event shall be selected in the end and added in the wedding thread (because it would look funny to have 2 clothes for same person in same event 😜). The selection process will be internal, that is - all the members on this side can discuss and decide what they like best.
Baraati are expected to help in giving suggestions and pics for gifts along with helping in general selection.
All this will invariably cause a lot of messages in the thread... vaise to isse shaadi ka mahol jamega 😉 but for convenience of those who can't / don't want to go through all the random conversation, important post links (like where pictures have been shared) will be edited in the post below this that will act as index.
Also, celebratory messages and little bit of chatting is allowed in the thread but only pertaining to suggestions and discussions of the events. Avoid using single word ("Okay" / "Thanks") or emoji only (👍🏼) comments because they are not allowed and can be deleted by IF's algorithm at any time.
Other than that - you can let the conversation flow.... and the trumpets blow 🥳
