Suman always aims to be a perfectionist. Pyaar perfect hona chahiye, love story bhi perfect hona chahiye. She's going the extra mile ever since she confessed. I'm not saying Shravan loves her less, he is crazy about her too. But Suman is way more overt with her dialogues and her lines are dripping of her idealistic opinions on love, togetherness, commitment etc. It's therefore also a very mature love, thanks to these beliefs. She is not a petty teenage girlfriend who is mushy or clingy or possessive or attention seeking. She is absolutely fine with Shravan observing another in her presence. Instead of misunderstanding him, she gleans the cause of it. I'm sure if that girl had worn a hot dress and she saw him checking her out, she would have prepared to surprise Shravan by purchasing one too.
She is ready to break all the rules now. Even Kancha was amazed at this side of her today. Risking a morning outing before class, skipping class, uttering sweet white lies, sneaking out of home at night, entering through windows...my god. It's endearing to see her like this. These gestures are more Shravan's style and he's definitely holding back for Suman's sake. I like these role reversals where one is trying to be like the other to understand each other better, yet also being essentially themselves at the core. Soch wahi, nazariya wahi, maksad wahi...
Today's episode was just love. I've finally let go of my disappointment over Suman's rushed confession (atleast the way it was written and portrayed onscreen).
Gearing up for the heartbreak but I'm glad the family finds out first, though I would dread ever being discovered like that. Haha! Have to see what's gonna happen. And anyway in a few more epsiodes, we're going to get the leap. Bas itna pata hai ki atleast until then our intrepid cadet Suman Tiwari will choose to remain steadfast by her ideals.
The Papas' differences have intensified needlessly and after what happened today, Brigadier Tiwari certainly can't be blamed for all of it. Today was a result of Devraj turning grey. A shrewd, apathetic, calculative businessman.
I have mixed feelings about the tattoo. It's sweet and so unlike Suman Tiwari where inspite of all the ways she has surprised us, I would never have imagined she would do something this permanent. I know she is sure about them inspite of her army dream and Shravan's US dream and the leagues that would separate them, and even without working out the logistics she is absolutely sure they're gonna last forever. Another example of her exalted ideals.
They're opposites no doubt with their hearts in the right place. There is trust, respect, loyalty and 100% commitment from both sides. A storm is approaching to take the biggest test of their love and as we know, they're not going to make it. I hope it's depicted in such a way where we, as viewers, feel there was no right or wrong and that it is only one of life's vicissitudes forcing one to take a drastic step. As bystanders and witnesses to this perfect love story, we might be aghast at this unfortunate turn of events ki itne bade bade vaade kyun aur kya fayda, jis pyaar mein koi kami nahi nazar aayi, kya woh vaastav mein itna atoot nahi tha? Our solace, here, is knowing that they are made for each other (not gonna quote the title because they've overdone it one time too many onscreen) and that they're the endgame. But in real life, aise kitne couples hote hai jinki kahaniyan adhoore reh jaate hai and they have no choice but to move on.
I am very excited about the upcoming phase, 7 years hence, in their lives. I hope after they overcome their bitterness/awkwardness and decide to give each other another chance, they manage to retain a part of this innocence.
