PEMRA should also ban Bikhrey Moti if they are talking about negativity

Has it ever happened before, that they unbanned a show? Or they have to change script or sth to unban it?

I remember with Kun Faya Kun , the show was stopped because of its name and did not resume until they changed name and ost.

I think once, with Udaari. It was banned because of the topic but got unbanned quickly too.

Kun Faaya Kun didn’t stop because of PEMRA.. Hum TV took the matter in their own hands and stopped it after the name change so that they could make some changes in the script before it becomes an issue.

They did not ban Jalan because of the negativity but because of the portrayal of an indecent relationship between a man and his sister in law.

You can argue about the merits or demerits of this decision, but Jalan has no comparison with Bikhrey moti in terms of storyline.

I think it is good to ban dramas about forbidden relationships between mehrams . Such topics are dangerous because the mess with familys' values. Dramas about social issues are eye opening in a good way, to warn and to change the society. But dramas like Jalan may encourage little girls and bad guys to look for a relationship in the same family which is dangerous. I wish Khaali Haath and Maat were banned at the time they aired, so that drama makers stopped making such dramas.

Yes. The story is actually outrageous. I dont mind jalan being banned. Same was the case with pks , I couldn't watch the scenes between father in law and dil ..its as good as incest. It was pure cringe. But other characters etc were good so I didnt complain. I used to ff like I did with jalan. It's highly debatable if its.ok to be banned or audience can stop watching , those who have a problem .

Its anyways a constrained space for these dramas ..its all negativity rona dhona and depression. Vile ladies harassing /taunting / plotting against the shareef ones. N continue doing it till the last epi and last epi thy realize their mistake and all goes well . Its still torturous to watch ...every issue concerning women are stigmatized . Remarriage (meherposh), divorce , affair , love ..... Bechargi ki bhi hadh hai dikhane ki. Zero entertainment value. Itna bhi social issue dikhane ki zaroorat nai hai which is in your face and disturbing to watch . For that we have news channels and reality shows which r pathetic . It's good if such shows r banned.

🥺Banning this drama is a good decision. I really appreciate PEMRA's decision. But I feel bad for Emmad Irfani. He is an underrated actor🥺

You are right. He is highly underrated, and unlucky. Finally he is a hero of a top rated drama. But it got banned.

He is very unlucky. I think the main actors would have rejected the script that's why they chose him.

It's good that Jalan is banned because it was showing something very cringe-worthy. Khali haath was a bad watch but on the other hand Maat is a classic. If dramas are made on such topics, then they have to be on the level of Maat and the writer should be of Umera Ahmed's calibre to handle the topic sensitivity. Maat was quite emotional, gripping with fantastic performances as well as good entertainment value.
