Saif was really good too! It’s hard to be funny and evil at the same time and he managed to strike both chords with so much craft. I know he was going through a bad phase but glad he’s bouncing back!

Kajol, my god. Such a short role but in just a handful of scenes she showed why she’s so great! Such natural acting. That scene where she hugs Tanhaji cuz she’s scared she’ll lose him and also that end scene in the mirror uff.... these two scenes alone show how untalented our current actresses are. If Alia can win for Gully boy then give Kajol awards too!

I know Kajol and Saif are both Nepo kids but this level

Of acting can never be seen in these Alu’s and Janhvi’s

Totally agree on the points on Kajol. I thought she was back to her brilliant best in the last scene/song of the movie. No dialogues just expressions/emotions that too mainly with her eyes, and she simply killed it.

Kajol really needs to stop being lazy and challenge herself, there is so much untapped potential in her, that it sad to see her waste it!

C u soon ( Malayalam)

The concept is very unique. The entire movie is shown via video calls, hangout chats and Google Duo.

Amazing concept about online dating which turns into a thriller when the girl goes missing . Then comes the techno expert (Fahaad fassil) who tries to find out what happened.

First half was very good. Second half could have been better but overall 7/10

Good one time watch

Finished five seasons of Brooklyn Nine Nine.

Absolutely hilarious show. Yes it is kinda pushing with the progressive thing, but it is okay, doesn't effect the show's humor and narration. Every character is so well crafted and developed, like if they all had their own shows it would still be great.

Sherlock: first two seasons, and two episodes of season three. Absolutely brilliant show. And less but longer episodes also means it is compact and feels like watching a whole movie. The acting is top botch, although Hounds wala episode had some shit CGI, but it is okay. and the sign of three of one of the greatest television episode of all time. And Benedict Cumberbatch is such a good actor and so is Martin Freeman, and series is like million times better than the movies. Moriarty is the absolutely brilliant villain and Andrew Scott absolutely nailed it.

The Blacklist Season one: It is a mixed bag, but there are some absolutely great moments. Like opening scene of Episode four is one of the greatest television scene ever. A good watch if you are into crime drama, but leave it if your aren't.

Lucifer Season 5(a): I love Lucifer show. So doesn't matter how it was.

Umbrella Academy S2

The zaniest and most innovative take on superheroes. Does not disappoint.

Dead To Me S2

I had my heart in my mouth the whole time. One of the best takes on death, grief, and the muddled grey of human morality.

Riverdale S4

What even is this show? What is going on? Why is it so popular?

But Cheryl Blossom. ❤️

He was apparently famous for Boston Legal but I never watched it. I only remember him from Stargate - a movie which I watched a bajillion times in my teens. He was super cute back in the day. Didn't age well - but Reddington is such a phenomenal character.

C U Soon (2020)

This movie is getting rave reviews but I for one could actually see Faahad Faasil's head complete with the wheels turning and all.

The unnecessary romance subplot really gives it away. The narrative is heavily inspired by Unfriended:Dark Web which despite the appalling acting by the leads, is in a class all its own. The basic premise is from a little known movie that only 5 people in the world have ever watched....one is me...the other is Fahad.....a 1982 movie by the name of Suraag.....that movie was ahead of its time though shot badly and Fahad obviously saw the potential of the story. "Taar dating" I guess would be a suitable moniker......if nothing else then to sufficiently exaggerate the quaintness of it all....anyway so Faahad comes up with a mildly engaging screenplay and the lead actress Anu is quite good enough that you manage to stay glued to your screen till half time.

But just like many other Fahad movies this one too falls flat after half time. Anu is no Sanjeev Kumar after all...and once we have all the plot points in place...there's no big bang ending.....I would've preferred a Taken style takedown of the bad guys but Malayalam movie makers have always been constrained in that department....one dare not trifle with the Arab overlords.....so the movie ends on a whimper....perhaps if he had taken it more down the Unfriended:Dark Web route than the suraag route....(Fahad....advice from one *truant ant movie buff to another ..dont attempt Sanjeev Kumar movies please) oh well!

2.5/5 Its a decent watch.

*truant ant- someone who plays hooky to watch movies, a group that's inspired by the slackers in the ant colony...staving off the other 60%, pioneers of the smart lazy subgroup.

Watched 3 Deewarein and Kappela this week and both of them had the same message. And both of them have a happy ending about a fresh start. Never judge by anyone by your first impression. Both films deliberately let you make your own misconceptions about the characters and then ends up surprising you. Both of them have the woman as the audience's representative in this strange world struggling to make sense out of who's telling the truth and who's lying. Kappela has Anna Ben as the naive teenager from the country who makes her way to the strange city to meet her boy friend for the first time. 3 Teen Deewarein has Juhi an older independent woman.I wonder why Juhi's performance in as the documentary film maker who's making a film on 3 convicts on the death row in an open jail was never appreciated enough. And the three convicts had different motives, different stories and when the truth comes out about them as well as Juhi it shakes you out of your preconceived notions. And not all three makes it to the death.Gulshan Grover as the Jail Superintendent was a remarkable actor once taken away from his overrated Bad Man days.

Cargo

I just saw this and man, it did not disappoint at all! I absolutely loved it. The score, the sets, the actors, the script - its all great. Special shout out to the one who wrote this. This film is all HEART. Sad that it took one year for this film to be released on a platform. India needs to make more unique and original stories like these.❤️

Everybody, please give this film one chance.

Also, SPOILER

This is not a sci-fi film. It is a film based and set in space, but at its core its a human story. Nonetheless, the design, the sets, the little details were very authentic, real and well done.
