“Anmol,” I called out to him. He was in his study, reading a book. He seemed very disturbed and distracted which made my suspicious worse.

He froze when he heard my voice.

Kuchh nahi bhai. Blaise aise hi baitha hoon. Need nahi aaya Rahi thi so.

I wanted to sound as normal as it was possible.

'Naaraz main khud se hoon, Bhai. Kaash main orphanage mein hi hota. Toh Yeh sab nahi hota. Aap aur... P... Khush rehte.'

I stood up and placing the book back, went and sat on the couch.
