Such an old article taken out of context! TRAI proposed to have many other rating agencies apart from BARC so as to maintain neutrality. These are just concerns and not to say that BARC data is tampered. The recommendations also include BARC increasing its sample size after consulting with the Indian Institute of Statistics on what would be a decent number to accurately predict overall viewership.

Please don’t quote things out of context. The TV industry still recognises BARC as the means of viewership measurement and only BARC TRP will be considered for advertising revenue. If a show doesn’t bring enough BARC TRP, it will get low ad revenue and it might not be feasible to run the show.

This list is useless. YJHJK which is in No.7 on this list is being considered to be axed. They are only looking at TV numbers. These numbers are not even true.

True. The Rishta franchise’s ratings are low compared to the Bhagyas.

YRKKH 1.8 vs KDB 3.3

Both shows are not rating great for slot.

Yeah exactly.. Infact more than yrhpk yrkkh is suffering.. Look at the difference between kdb n yrkkh.. Atleast here the difference is 0.8 n this shows slot has been change.. Well jiska bhi ye slot change ka idea tha usko gaali de rahe honge sp wale.. They lost a good opportunity of pushing kkb down n ruling the 9pm slot
