They are not protecting Aamir. They are protecting themselves. It makes them look like bumbling fools that they are having diplomatic spats with Turkey and meanwhile, one of their famous celebs is cozying up to the Erdogans right under their nose.

Turkey is the first one to put out the news. It took the Ambassador another 12 hours before they tweeted about it and pretended they were in on it. That is not normal. Either they post at the same time or they put out a press release before it's going to happen and give out the official schedule.

Even if Aamirs grandfather fought for freedom does not reflect anything on Aamir.

Now why is AAMIR who meets Turkish leader, meets Afridi. He had problems with people pouring milk on Shiva ling but has no issues with questionable religious practices of his own religion.

He won't talk about it but has no qualms meeting first lady of dictator in chief of Turkey.
