How is Aishwarya Rai rated so highly here?

Most people I know find her a plastic, below-average actress. It is only here on this forum that I have come across people calling her a better actress than Deepika, Madhuri, Kareena!

Her screechy, over-the-top acting does not warrant such praise.

Minty's nth attempt at getting Ash bashed 😆

In real life, everyone I encountered finds her a good actress (with one or two exceptions). Her films Jodhaa Akbar, Guru, HDDCS, Devdas, Raincoat, Taal, Guzaarish etc. are universally loved and still talked about. Not to mention her South Indian and Bengali films where she has done her best work.

She's easily a better actress than Kareena and Deepika. She's miles better. With Madhuri it's debatable. However, I find Madhuri more of a dancer but as an actress she's about average. Ash has certainly delivered better performances over the years.

Ash is still no Tabu or Vidya for sure. But she's consistently shown a knack for delivering excellent performances under a good director.

Please don’t compare her to deepika. Deepika can’t act period.

Why shouldn't she?? If Deepika is being praised here for her substandard acting then Aish deserves more appreciation here. Jazbaa grossed as much as Chappak and that too without zero controversies.

Ash’s “Are you like checking me out?” haunts me . 😂😂 So over the top.

Other than Raincoat I don’t like any of her performance and her voice 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️.

But I will still watch her movies over Kareena’s.

To think Bipasha was the best actress in the whole Dhoom series (maybe Rimi Sen) .

Well, we can always agree to disagree. Deepika is miles ahead of Aishwarya in stardom and acting both.
