Audience Love made Alia Bhatt No.1 Star not NEPOTISM - Page 16

Sorry I didn't read through all the pages before replying.

But my take is that Alia has been given an unprecedented amount of hype, more than any of her contemporaries. In KJO-sponsored media, she has been covered relentlessly, articles used to elevate her has been written exclusively for her, the PR machinery at large has thrust her relentlessly into our faces.

It's supplier-induced demand, nothing else. If Alia was not backed by KJO, she would not even be in top 10. Audience doesn't love her, audience loves hype. We all fall prey to it. Alia is a mediocre actress with little or no star power.

Also, Sara doesn’t have Dharma but she has - Saif, Amrita, Kareena, Pautaudi connections and best of all Sharmila Tagore - the same woman who made her son win best national award for Hum Tum. Compared to that Shakti Kapoor is nothing and barely holds any influence. Same with Parineeti.

It doesn’t matter if Shraddha or Pari have “access”..... they are not apart of that nepotistic gang and in my opinion they’re still struggling actresses

How did they get that access? Due to their family connections. That is the very definition of nepotism.

Just because you like them, you can't say they did not get in due to nepotism. They may be less privileged than some others but they still had that advantage....and Shraddha is definitely not a struggling actress.

If it wasn't for Karan Johar she would have faded away like Sid after SOTY! Sid is almost done in terms of the industry!

In India Every Year 250+ films are made, Since Alia's Debut we have 1750 films in 7 years, how come Audience is shoved with 12 films in 7 years? =)) 🤣

Either you don’t understand the point or are pretending not to. This is not about who I like and don’t like.

Lately the conversation we are having is about UNETHICAL use of resources and nepotism. Which KJO does. It’s not necessarily nepotism itselfc, we all know that it’s everywhere. But Kjo take it’s a notch higher, the proof is out there to see. To some extent almost everyone who makes it has access.... even Deepika’s dad is an athlete and Kiara has connections too. That’s not even the point though.

Instead of making midnight booty calls he makes midnight Alia calls and hers directors to take her in their movie. 3 directors have CONFIRMED this. Even Ashwini will say the same too.

Finally a POV I can relate to. I don’t support nepotism but the fact that no one can deny is that nepotism doesn’t guarantee success. Audience gives you success. Now defination of talent can be different for different people but at end of the day if majority audience likes the movie and watch’s it that is what makes you a success. Not nepotism. So I won’t degrade any actor or actress who has worked hard and gained success as untalented.

It seems like almost everyone is going the wrong way about explaining things about nepotism. What Alia gets is never fair to the rest but Khair chodo jaar.

yes. kjo did this early on in her career with films like dear zindagi and highway.

those films were not earned on merit. What’s worse is that today she is getting films and ahead purely on the basis of someone making those cheat calls for her very early one leading to fabulous opportunities and roles. which very few actresses would dream to get at that point in her career.
without those cheat calls, without those opportunities, I can 100 percent say that directors today who consider her for roles on merit wouldn’t look twice at her.

This isn’t nepotism. This is some other shit.
