I don't hate Alia either. Nobody turns out opportunities that are handed to them. She's taken them and done a really good job with most of the movies she's gotten.

The only huge mistake on Alia's part was Kalank. She was not suited for that role and both Alia and Karan Johar should have understood that from the beginning.

What are saying? Tapsee is a popular star from south. Her main problem is that she played mostly flower pot roles there.

Direction, writing and acting wise it was as good of a movie as Dangal. But Aamir Khan’s added production value and promotion helped Dangal cross 700 crores.

The argument that audience love is why Alia is #1 is flawed. The issue here that has arisen post sushant death isnt one of audience love, cuz he got plenty of that. Audience has liked this dude, from Pavitra Rishta days,and one of the biggest reasons he made it so far. but The issue rather it’s how nepotism propels some , and doesn’t give others their due (after good body of work) from the people of their own fraternity , to the extent of making them feel less than. Maybe it doesn’t bother some, but it seemingly bothered sushant.

Alia wasn’t the first choice for Highway, dear zindagi, maybe even raazi. Kjo, who clearly is her mentor, pulls strings and gets her in. She is given all opportunity to shine. Wasn’t her role in RRR also negotiated as part of some production/ distribution deal?

sushant debuts with a kai po Che, follows up with a shudh desi romance, doesn’t even get a Filmfare debut award. Guess who won? Dhanush. Lmao. I could be wrong, but didn’t varun get debut awards for SOTY?

Varun gets nominated under Filmfare best actor critics for October. Sushant doesn’t after sonichirya and chichore

I am sure there are more examples, but some that just came to mind.

Then there are the damning blinds, false me too allegations, etc. Which other mainstream actor with sushants body of work comparatively, has had to go thru that?

I don’t care that people didn’t like sushants personality, or thought he was a weirdo. But, there is clearly bias against what BW consider their own. Manoj, sukhander kher spoke about this. This ultimately furthers the mediocre end products they put out, and then likes of Kjo, Preeti( junglee pictures), Sid Roy Kapur come and whine at roundtables about how Hindi movie industry is ‘dying’ and they have to do better. Lol, to do better, you have to be better.

In what world, are Parineeti or Shraddha equivalent to Taapsee? Taapsee was a rank outsider while Pari and Shraddha had connections coming in and even immediate YRF backing (until Shraddha dropped out). Even Sara doesn't have a Dharma backing like Janhvi or Ananya. Everyone has different levels of privileges. If you are a Dharma or YRF talent, you are much more likely to do well.

I have been watching Sushant's interviews, speeches, and interactions all week. I don't get how in anyway was he a weirdo. He just cared about more things, in the world, that who is sleeping with who and the latest fashion trends. He might have been different in that sense. I seem to be getting mocked for saying this I do think he threatened people more than any other outsider as an all rounder. People who want to hate you will come up with nonsense to back up their claims. Bullying is always triggered by insecurity to some degree you can ask any psychologist.

I never said they were equivalent. Mentioned their names because all three ladies have lost considerable work. YRF didn’t do anything for Shraddha

Also, Sara doesn’t have Dharma but she has - Saif, Amrita, Kareena, Pautaudi connections and best of all Sharmila Tagore - the same woman who made her son win best national award for Hum Tum. Compared to that Shakti Kapoor is nothing and barely holds any influence. Same with Parineeti.

It doesn’t matter if Shraddha or Pari have “access”..... they are not apart of that nepotistic gang and in my opinion they’re still struggling actresses
