Suicide is never an act in isolation. There are many factors that trigger it. This tweet in general is talking about the toxic environment of Bollywood.

It's OK to pinpoint a culture and it's alright to tell someone that their behaviour is contributing to something problematic and needs to be changed.

But the blame cannot be shifted onto any individual.

The entire ecosystem is flawed. This is not the fault of any one individual, it's the fault of a system which failed Sushant.

I see Karan receiving vitriolic hate on his Twitter right now. I don't support that either, though I have to say that he does contribute in a major way to this flawed ecosystem.

Outsiders work hard to earn their place and then KJo uses them for credibility while mocking their demanded paychecks. F*ck that man and his entire clique of mofos. Sushant was a victim of incessant bullying by the so called industry bigwigs. Both KJo and Jitesh treated him like trash.

I wouldn't blame him but this man has changed or ruined the reputation of Bollywood. He brought out the ugly side of the industry more than ever.

Saw on social media, how Sushant was opposed to the idea of releasing Drive directly in the streaming platform and that KJo canceled the 3 movie contract he had with Sushant on this tiff.

I am irked mostly with his condolence tweet saying he should have been in touch, you didn't, stop talking about it.

Exactly, the biggest problem is people consider suicide as only psychological phenomenon, it's also a sociological phenomenon. Many factors trigger it. It's not right to blame the individual. I really wish, people understand the mental conditions properly. I wish, schools should focus on such issues so that it starts from school level itself. Parents and family should stop taking it as a Taboo. We are evolving society, this issue needs to be discussed regularly.

Its Sad he was asking in comment section for fans to watch his film sonichirya offbeat one , we let real talent down like not supporting them on theaters and encouraging piracy of good films.

Absolutely. I remember reading about a guy who bullied some girl and she ended up committing suicide. He didn't cause the death, he didn't want her to die, he just wanted to bully her. So he's not responsible for her death but can we really say he's totally innocent - he's not. Obviously the bullying played a factor into the suicide of the girl. So we really shouldn't be acting like everything is perfect and there is no enabler. If we don't talk about this stuff then nothing will change if we keep pushing this stuff under the rug.

He made a good point and no point avoiding the big elephant in the room. Any topics, as uncomfortable as they are, need to be addressed and voiced to avoid these types of tragedies. If people felt they had a safe platform to express themselves, there probably would be less suicides. Although BW can not be held responsible for Sushant’s life and death; it is highly toxic and has most likely failed him. Imran has spoken openly about his struggles and the pressure to fit in so I don’t think he’d disagree.

You can't really blame the whole thing on nepotism.. He was going through depression and this lockdown with no working and being alone might have triggered something.

Nobody is blaming Karan for causing it. One can't blame something like this on one individual unless there's proof. But there is no denying that he was infact treated differently compared to Ayushmann and Rajkumar Rao by the KJo and clique. And maybe that's how the industry functions, taking it out on the one who's most vulnerable by the most powerful. It's true for all the industries but it doesn't justify the isolated treatment, toxic blinds and mocking. For that, KJo and gang can be blamed. Did it cause his depression? Who knows. But was it wrong? Yes it was. Hence KJo's post makes my blood boil.
