Okay... So, this entire drama began with Abhijeet forcing Daya to tell Shreya that he loves her.

Daya wrote a letter to Shreya and gave it to Abhijeet to hand it over to her. Shreya's parents wanted her to marry a guy of their choice and so, they asked Abhijeet not to give the letter to Shreya as if she got to know that Daya loved her, she'd refuse for the marriage and not to tell Daya about it. Shreya's father had taken a huge loan from the guy's father which he wasn't able to repay... And more such emotional drama.

So, Abhijeet couldn't give the letter plus he couldn't reveal the truth to Daya.

Ultimately, he came to know the truth through Shreya... Uske baad the rift began. Daya calling Abhijeet a backstabber and what not.

Uske baad, finally Abhijeet decided to take a transfer.

When Daya came to know about it, Shreya forced him to talk to Abhijeet giving gyaan on their friendship.

Finally, the issue was resolved in episode 1116 where Abhijeet took a bullet on himself to save Daya's life and Daya felt guilty for all those words and apologised...

Most of the parts I have copy pasted from the CID forum as I was going through the posts... Iske aage, there may be something more but I don't know as I completely avoided these episodes...

The main thing I hated was the introduction of this daily soap-ish angle... It was a crime show for God's sake!!! Poora daily soap bana kar rakh daala...

Seems like they were inspired to introduce a full fledged typical romantic track.

Now, I am commenting based on your description, I can't really blame Daya here. He didn't even want to confess in the first place as it seems. So Abhijeet failing him must have hurt like hell. Plus there is a saying that a lot of people avoid confessing just because they are too afraid to hear NO. So I can totally get Daya's POV.

At this point, I am rather annoyed at Abhijeet for not revealing everything to Daya earlier.

As far as the verbal abuse is concerned, people say a lot of things in anger but ITV loves to stretch it beyond the point and make the characters look like villains. So I can totally get your frustration.

As far as Shreya is concerned, she wasn't wrong to give speech on friendship. A lot of times it so happens that a third party can actually state proper points which in extreme anger we overlook.

But ITV has always made it look like the heroine has to save the day while years of friendship meant nothing.

So again I get your frustration.

Definitely... I am not blaming Daya there. I am actually blaming the writers. I can quite understand his POV. He might have feared rejection so he did not confess directly.

Neither am I saying that Abhijeet was right. He definitely did a huge wrong by not revealing everything to Daya.

Basically, I was hell annoyed because they did not show a direct confrontation between the two... Instead, they showed Daya passing comments regarding his friend being a backstabber and other stuff.

They could have shown one scene where Daya was directly asking Abhijeet the reason why he hid all this and Abhijeet blurting out the truth unknowingly as he promised Shreya's father that he won't reveal anything...

This is my main issue... Yes, a lot of people say a lot of things in anger. But, ITV stretches it beyond the point that it makes the characters look like villains... That was what I hated the most.
