I would say geo shows are more commercial

While ary do come up with some strong subjects

yes people just find it convenient to watch on youtube with limited ads

yeah i believe in indias trp more than pakistan.. because yeh rishta gets high trps and its watched a lot online too.. as well as other shows like kumkum bhagya which are always trending on zee5.

ever since they became hd on tv its not avaliable as easily in pakistan now

i remember when they became hd in pakistan my dadi had trouble getting hum tv from her cable operator she got it later on but a lot of people still dont have it cause its a pay channel now.. geo and ary are free to air i believe

Yup and now they are shutting less trp shows like patiala babes etc. Kundali bhagya, kumkum bhagya, choti sardarni, yjhjk, yrkkh and other high trp shows are running.

TRP’s do matter in the sense that a high rating show gets more sponsors, like when MPTH got famous Zeera plus started sponsoring it.

So a high rating show gets more ad revenue than a low rating one and as Pakistani shows are finite shows and a majority of them have been shot already their run does not depend on TRP’s.

Yup i agree high ratings definitely are the source of money but beside trps drama's popularity also matters. The trending of dramas on youtube also matters. Ydm is not getting high ratings but still its trending on youtube, its clips are posted on social networking sides and it is sponsored by Bank Alfalah, same goes with pks which is sponsored by mezan oil.

i still dont get why they block it in uk until the next day shouldnt it be blocked in pak instead if they want trp?
