Iss Nostalgia ko Kya Naam Doon?

If there is something that keeps me going in these grim times, it is this show - Iss Pyaar ko Kya Naam Doon?

I couldn't stop myself from coming back because the urge to share my thoughts about this show and how it feels to binge watch it for the nth time was just too much!

It's been 7 yrs since I last posted on India Forums and never thought that I would return one day.

And that's how much this show has affected me.

So much has changed here.. I don't even know if anyone's gonna respond to this post but I'll continue to share my thoughts in this thread. Feel free to join me!

I myself am quite new to this whole forums thing so I missed a lot during the old days. IPK is an evergreen serie which will forever hold a charming charisma to itself and will forever be beautifully imprinted in our hearts.

The good old days! *Sigh*

I was so active back then on Arjun forum writing FF and interacting, I barely had any time for anything unnecessary.

I hope you get to have some interesting interactions here too!

It feels good to be back. It's already my third time watching this show in the past 40 days and I just don't get bored at all. Every time feels like the first time.

Given the binge watch and rewatching, I have noticed things about IPK that I didn't before. All the what ifs, "should have been this way" thoughts kept coming to me.

So here I am, to share all those thoughts. And maybe indulge in some fanfiction. Not just reading, some writing too. (It's been so long since I've written anything, but I'm quite confident I'll have fun writing again and probably write some good stuff along the way!)

Haha I can say the same. I’ve probably rewatched ipk more than 3 times now, especially because of this whole pandemic thing going on unfortunately, I’ve been spending most of my time writing my ongoing fanfic on Arshi. I’d never thought such day would ever exist where I’ll be writing an ff, but I guess that’s the effect Arshi has on us. 😳

I agree! I too have noticed a couple things that went unnoticed by me before, while rewatching after so many times but damn my poor memory, lol, they’ve slipped out of my mind now! 😛

I wish you all the luck for your upcoming work and I can’t wait for this thread to fill up with conversations like the good ‘ol days! 🤗

I feel the same way, came back here after 7 years. Got into the show back in February and thought it would wear off and I have only fallen deeper into the pit lol. Dont think i was so engrossed even when it first aired. I think part of it has to do with the fact that we have grown up and think way more about things than we did back then. I have to constantly remind myself that it is just a show and I need to pull myself out of it lol

just went back and read both yours and Ayesha's comments, I think all three of us are in the same boat haha

I used to write as well and was super active on the forum, and just like you guys I am back into writing and have been really enjoying so far :)

IPK has had and still has a colossal effect on us. I don’t think we’ll ever really be able to forget about it, it has become that integral. Ah those beautiful old days!

I was in high school when it first aired and dont think I thought about it that much. But now im constantly thinking about all the what ifs and why certain things happened lol as if it all happened in real life lmao

But i think the characters are so complex that it can be overwhelming and i think just in general with shows, watching the same thing at different points in time gives us different perspectives and now that we have more time we are letting ourselves dwell deeper into this fictional world

Omg I relate to that so much. I too was in high school at that time, a freshman lol. I remember loving it so much from then on but I was a bit young to completely understand the whole concept which led me to a lot of questions and assumptions. I was really skeptical about ASR’s persona and a lot of other things but that didn’t stop me from watching it again and again. Now that we’re grown, we understand a lot more haha!

I wish I was sensible enough to know that such forums existed back then🤣 but I’m so elated to know that even if the show ended 7 years ago (about to be 8 years, it’s crazyyyy) still this forum is up and running with people still writing ffs and discussing things that were missed before. It really makes me so happy!

Yes!! it crazy how time flies. I constantly have moments where I absolutely hate him and moments where I am in awe.

And now theres so much thats going on in my head all the time because even though all of this is fictional it can very much happen in real life. And since we are letting our self absorb so much of it (and theres enough content to get lost in) we cant help but be overpowered by the emotional roller coaster. Its like hearing a friends story and not getting being able to forget it
