I loved those floral nightgowns too but Kaveri pulls off everything. Out of the non-traditional outfits, my favourite dress post leap was the yellow and black one before NishMish mehendi. She looked so good in that dress!!🤩 Also, the other dress I want to add to that list is the white one below. It reminded me Kuhu's wardrobe before marriage, western clothes with traditionally embroidered borders.
Fav Kuhu looks!
I love both of those looks! Don't you hate how we get the least time in the nicest outfits (like the ones you mentioned) but somehow have multiple scenes in ones that are not great (like that yellow crop top and frilly blue skirt she had on for important scenes with Abir, Kunal, Nishant, AND Mishti )? It was a saving grace that the outfit she had on that one day that lasted for two weeks (the day after Mishti's birthday) was quite nice -- the lilack top and the stripey skirt. My favourite outfit post-leap would have to be that black one she was wearing during the back hug dream. For the first time in a while, it had that trademark Kuhu quirkiness with the flower details on the blouse.
And even though I didn't love the outfit, I loved the makeup and the lighting when she was wearing that pink dress over the white poufy top after the NishMish roka. She looked so beautiful and vulnerable and pure in some of those shots, especially when Abir asks her about one-sided shaadi. 😭
@clarity: To me, the appeal of a character isn't really in right and wrong, or whether they are redeemable, but more how they move the plot forward through convincing characterisation. Meenu's motivations and her actions have been very consistent and that is what I like watching. I think she genuinely loves her sons but she fears her family falling apart more, so she takes what she believes are the necessary precautions to keep that from happening, and honestly, I think everyone is disposable to her except for Abir, Kunal, and Parul -- in that order.
