I think kunal was always attracted towards Kuhu, right from when he bumped into her on that night after abir had kidnapped him

also Kunal not finding Kuhu attractive & still going out with her just after her sis dumps him on his GD day doesnt go in line with what we were shown in initial episodes about Kunal's character

he clearly had feelings for Kuhu from the start, the look they exchanged in the scene that Sam has mentioned clearly indicated to me about Kuhu's complaints, & Kunal's helplessness

infact when I was watching the show in initial days, and I wasnt even a kuku fan by then, I could clearly see kunal's liking towards Kuhu

even during Ketu's haldi, when he goes inside to wash his stained kurta & finds Kuhu trying to wipe off stains from her hands, there is this scene where they interact in Kunal's room & I found that there was a flirty undertone in all their interactions and I was surprised that this man is in marital courtship with her sis but looks more interested in her

Oh I watched the Ketu haldi scene recently and yes even I could sense the flirty undertone 😆

also my understanding about Kunal's character is that he very rarely acknowledges & accepts his feelings, so I dont expect him to voice out as dialogues or monolgues

as Sam already mentioned that he is used to putting his feelings aside all the time, so we have to look very carefully towards his expressions, and that is why I love Ritvik as Kunal, he is simply superb and coveys all the turmoil, pain, all feelings through his expressions

Kunal for me is a person who is reserved. He is a little close to introvert and a bit far from extrovert - maybe somewhere in between midovert? 😆

Unlike his brother he doesn't display his feelings to the world and believes in showing it to the right person at the right time. Be it with his mom, bro, Mishti or even Kuhu. One thing he is open about and doesn't stay behind is in his declaration for the love he has for his family.

With Mishti he didn't flatter her around in front of everyone saying you're the best but he gave it in the form of the company - neat and fine. With Kuhu we are not satisfied but until the SR he was more loud in actions like burning the divorce papers or spraying the water on her face..

Not sure I made sense but expecting Kunal to support Kuhu in front of everyone or things like holding her hands, putting his arms around her while everyone is watching (how romantic will it be though ) will not happen. If it does it should happen gradually else it will be out of his character..

he is also very shy, so any pda in front of his family or anyone present is a strict no-no for him

remember that morning hug before pehli rasoi, he is about to hug her but then looks around if jugnu is still around & only hugs kuhu when he sees nobody is around

same while burning divorce papers, he immediately breaks his hug once he hears maami calling them

and we are yet to see kunal being bold enough to hold her hand secretly

but I do feel that in their room, or when its just two of them & they are not into that argument or fighting space, then he does express freely, like the SR spraying water on her face, that cheek kiss to shut her up, that balcony hug when abir wasnt well after coffee spiking incident
