OMG wow! This is exactly what I want. This VM made me realise that most KuKu moments are through Kuhu's POV. This is so refreshing.

@pihu : The VM is breathtaking ❤️ I love VMs which show Kunal's perspective and his feelings towards Kuhu. We rarely get to see that in the show.

Kunal and Kuhu met for the first time during Holi when they were high on bhaang and then they meet at night after AbiNal's pakoda discussion😆 then how did Kunal know who Kuhu was?? Was he shown her picture??

Also, I just remembered the scene where he is at a meeting and their holi picture comes on screen and he gives this shy smile so it seems like he had already made up his mind to say 'yes' to Kuhu's rishta. What do you guys think?

So from what I remember, their rishta talks were happening between the elders during the Holi celebration, and I think they were shown each other's pictures. And yes, I definitely think Kunal was ready to say yes to Kuhu. The meeting was basically a formality because everyone was ready with all the shagun ka samaan to make the rishta pakka.

@Sam- Interesting. How do we explain him not wanting to marry Kuhu even when BB told him to? Why did his feelings for Kuhu not kick in then? It was one of those rare occasions when Kunal actually got angry at BigBen for 'forcing' him to marry Kuhu and he categorically said he didn't wan to marry Kuhu. After those initial episodes, where he was smitten, he completely lost any affection that he had for her. I would have understood it if that's what he had to be thanks to BigBen but there was no inner introspection, no shifty glances in the scenes to indicate he didn't mean what he was saying. Maybe it was bad writing. Maybe they decided to do a u-turn on Kunal liking Kuhu for the sake of drama. I am confused :S

@bold: Because he was cheating Kuhu. When the rishta originally happened, it was a straightforward arranged marriage. There was no pretense of love and it was understood that they would get to know each other gradually after marriage. When he made the decision to deceive Kuhu, he had feelings for her, and liked spending time with her, but they hadn't put any definition on their relationship, nor was Kunal ready to do that yet. So in fact, his resisting the marriage was his feelings kicking in -- he convinced himself to do the shaadi drama with Meenu's assurance that it would end MA permanently, but now that he had made himself into this lying, cheating, villain in Kuhu's life, the last thing he wanted was to saddle her with that for life.

Kunal was terribly written during Kuku's shaadi prep, no getting around that. It's only when we got that bachelor party scene that his POV was properly explored. Then when you go watch their previous moments retroactively, you can see his conflict much more clearly. The thing is, Kunal is not a great actor in any other scenario, but he managed to convince everyone that he was madly in love with Kuhu. I say it's because "acting" like he was in love with her wasn't very difficult for him, and there are so many moments where he just forgets he's even acting because he genuinely cares about this person.

Oh, and he never lost affection for Kuhu. Even during Mishti and his courtship, he kept seeking her out, asking for her help, and remembering things that she had said. They exchange this look just before she goes to get Mishti on the GD day, and man was it loaded!

IKR?!! Also, if you notice, he is admiring her in technically all the scenes. He admires the whole of Kuhu and not just in a great 👗.

@clarity: I have a song for Kuhu. 'Jugni' from Queen. It would suit her so well!!

I was actually hoping for this scene in NishMish Mehendi because Kaveri looked gorgeous in that light green lehenga but like always Kunal was too focused on other things to notice his wife.

Btw does anyone else think that all the costumes of Nishmish ceremonies were beautiful? I felt like by the time they reached to Mishbir wedding, the production house ran out of budget and gave tacky clothes to everyone. 😆

@blue: This is my most favourite outfit of theirs! KuKu looked amazing! If only Kunal his haircut - it would've been icing on the cake. For those outfits alone, they deserved a romantic KuKu scene 😆.

@Bold: I couldn't agree with you more. All the outfits were beautiful and everyone looked stunning. The day-to-day outfits were also nice. After the Big Wedding, most of the clothes look crap, sorry to say.

I just can't get over Kuhu's hot saree looks. How the hell could Kunal not be mesmerised? Matlap pyar ka ikraar na saahi but biwi itni hot toh kiss baat ki mayusi yaar 😆

Also, I completely agree that the real reckoning will only be when Meenu's true feelings come out in the open. Right now, Kunal is under the false impression that his 'Maa' is okay with his biwi. Let's see if he stands by Kuhu when Meenu finally reveals how much she hates KuShti.

We know Abir will choose Mishti and fight for her but Kunal....IDK.....

The problem with Kunal is that he sees everything in life through the Maa and Bhai lens. Situations, people, relationships- all of them are evaluated to make sure the parivaarik equilibrium stays as is. This is a definite negative trait because it means he will do wrong, if it means pleasing his Maa and Bhai. It's just luck that Abir is not like Meenu to force him to drug other people but Meenu is a complete monster. Kunal has acted like one under her guidance. To me, there's nothing less attractive than a man without his own mind. Kunal's true redemption will be when he realises that he doesn't have to execute all of Meenakshi's plans just because she is Maa. I want him to take a stand for himself, for Kuhu and for what is right and do it without fear.

Honestly, I always felt like writers don't put much effort when it comes to Kunal's character. There were so many instances where the storyline needed his reaction but it was never shown to the audience. One of the examples of this is the time when Kunal got to know that Meenu threatened Abir that she would reveal Kunal's birth truth and throw him out of the house. Kunal's character had just found out that he was not Meenu's biological son and then he comes to know that his Mom threatened to throw him out of the house. He should have been appalled by that revelation because he had always done everything his mother asked him to do. Why was the feeling of betrayal and abandonment not shown? After this huge revelation, he doesn't even think about anything but starts his Mishbir Milan plan and starts dancing in Nishmish functions. I know his character is supposed to be fully devoted to his brother and he puts himself last, but the writers always do a lousy job in actually showing Kunal's character's feelings in a convincing way and his character sometimes looks half-baked. If Kunal's character was written properly, it had the potential to become the best character of the show because he has so many layers and great scope for character development.

I know I've shared this before, but I couldn't resist posting it again while we're on the subject of VMs from Kunal's POV. This one absolutely nails it and says so much more with lyrics and visuals than I ever could in a million rambling posts!

@Sam-

I feel like it was poor writing because if I remember correctly, when he tells Meenakshi he doesn't want to marry Kuhu he says it's because he doesn't like her. There is nothing to suggest he doesn't mean it. Even if he stood Kuhu up and defied Meenu, he would still be the villain in her life, 'cause leaving her at the altar would have been a douche move. Maybe the writers should have given us some scenes of him introspecting or feeling guilty, because what I remember is that just didn't want to marry Kuhu and seemed to severely dislike her.

I think I have to rewatch the bachelor party scene 'cause I don't recollect it at all

His behaviour post the wedding also doesn't make sense to me. The way he treated her and told her he does not love her was terrible.

I definitely remember the KuKu bonding scenes during MishNal's courtship too, so IDK why the writers forgot it later.

I will have to go back and see that scene right away!! I want to see his reaction when he sees her picture.

@Bold-1: So true!! We get to see that he actually likes her during the bachelor's party scenes. I love those scenes so so much!!!

@Bold-2: It was so loaded!!!😵 That look on his face just gave so much thandak to my heart.

Question!! What do you guys think he was feeling when he looked at her?? Was it just him wishing that he could instead get married to Kuhu?? But it's Kunal. His emotions won't be that simple. What was it??🙆🏻‍♀️🙆🏻‍♀️
