I also think so. I even called it climactic just in my last comment.

But in another thought, it doesn't seem like they won't use it for number of episodes. The Rishi's whole track is there just because of the separation track and then acceptance and inevitable death ( thanks to foreshadowing per episode ).

I still don't understand why rishi had to die? why screw over your MC by making her kill an innocent for no good reason? it is just mind boggling.

1. Rishi alive wouldn't have MayRa marriage possible

2. He would have been some sort of risk to Maya.

3. Would have been easily manipulated by MJ
