If rightly manipulated ( and not seduced as a love interest, instead befriended as a devar), Rishi could have been a perfectly ally to her. Not Directly in her conspiracy.....but she could use him against MJ clan in so many ways and MJ would have 2 Achilles heels then ! Now he only has one who is Maya's weak point as well.

I like what she did with Diya....It can be called strategic. But Rishi's one was plain stupid.
