I have not been on I.F in a long time, but finally came here for Bayhadh2.
As for the topic of females who enable jerks like MJ, well yes, both Antara and Diya are pretty pathetic. MJ is a womanizer, an abuser and a man full of ego. He uses all the women in his life, including Antara and Diya. I don't think he respects anyone. His mother knows what he is, hence her constant sarcasm towards him.
Antara's behavior was a huge let down to Maanvi as she trusted MJ's lies and then she thought maybe Antara will help her, as a woman. BIG mistake. Antara wants to live in her own elevated false reality of being "Mrs MJ Roy" and thinks this title somehow makes her better than the other women MJ sleeps with. But in actual fact, she is also just another Mistress with a fancy title. Same goes for Diya.
The only difference between Antara, Diya and Maanvi is that MJ keeps Anatara and Diya in his life coz they play by "his" rules. Had Maanvi done the same, this arrangement could have continued for a long time. But Maanvi was in fact a naive girl who actually thought this was love and this relationship was for good. She then realised this was never love, this was a con, and she is now a liability, her child and her family are now collateral damage.
What a rude awakening. While I can never condone killing someone, men like MJ and his toxic entourage can never be taught a lesson any other way. You need to hit them with the same weapon. The fact was, they took Panga with the wrong woman. Maanvi may have been vulnerable and naive at one time. But she was always a strong-willed woman. She knew aborting her child was not an option for her. She was not going to move on with her life at the expense of her child's life. So she fought for what she believed was right. She almost lost her life. Lost half her family. But she is not "Giri Hui" woman. Antara and Diya are judging her on their basis. Her mistake was being fooled and manipulated by a devious married man.
Maanvi was always a very decent woman and she was taken advantage of. She was not in it for the money etc. So when she left that day with those men, she was going to her death. That scene was so hard to watch, coz I wondered how many women's reality would have been like that. Some men come and haul her out of her home and she is punished for her crime of trusting a pervert. THIS is why women standing together is SO essential. WE are the only one's who can stop men from treating us unfairly. If we dont stand together and enable men, then this will continue. My wish is the see Antara's face the day she finds out Diya was MJ's GF ALL this time. ALL the Roy's and their associates other than Rudra and Rishi, deserve everything coming to them! Fact.
