They may have a emotional connection , Rudra also have healing power but at first he himself needs to get heal. Healing Maya isn't possible.

"You can't love someone back to life" you can try but their is no hope that you will be successful in Maya's case she is far gone now it's not possible to bring her back from the darkness or heal ger illness.

I think lift scene hinted, Maya may help Rudra find light but she will stay back in darkness.
