Saw the trailer yesterday. Not sure how it'll be received in india, considering the current scenario.

Then again, it's just a love story with eventful backdrop. Kedarnath was one of those. More of love story, less of the disaster backdrop.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra is a Kashmiri himself so be sure he is not going to make a "decorative" love story. I would think he would have made a really hard hitting movie which will make us look at politicians and ourselves with shame for being so insensitive to the continuing travails of the Pandits driven from the valley. Certainly should give food for thought to those youngsters who think it is fashionable to so casually raise banners calling for "Free Kashmir".

It is time these armchair warriors who keep raking up the internet shutdown in Kashmir as the ultimate sign of "repression of freedom" should visit some of these Refugee camps of the Pandits and learn what real repression is all about. And I hope the movie will awaken everyone's guilt by bringing the tragedy to every home.

Vidhu... has dedicated this film to his mother who left Kashmir along with him when he was a child & that time kashmiri pundits fled away in huge numbers from Kashmir.

If one of the premier universities in the nation has been brutally attacked by such dangerous goons, I fear what they'd do in smaller colleges.

Can anyone randomly come in with rods, sticks wearing masks and hits students?

I would rather wait for crime branch guys to ferret out the truth.

This has been the norm for a long time. Violence is resorted to by all student Unions and then blame each other like seasoned politicians. .

Elections should be completely banned in universities.

Unfortunately, students unions and teachers affiliations to their own ideologies results in a dangerous cocktail in universities.

IMHO Univesities should be purely for studies and not for politics. If students want to be in politics, they should do it outside college premises and teachers should not give ideological colour (be it left, centre or right) to their teachings.

Looking at current world scenario its very disappointing that our kids have to grow up and experience kaliyug in real sense. US-iran things r getting escalated, unrest in middle east, then unrest in india wthr its jnu, or protests in rest of country its really shameful that we as adults n all the world leaders instead of being a role model have failed our future generation unable to provide any hope, security , happiness , kindness but just hatred , discrimination , promotion of bad virtues just very sad situation. 😳

Apart from convicting those who have perpetreted this heinous act of assaulting the students, pinpointed blame needs to be apportioned on those responsible.... The highest head of the institution or( in case they have a security officer) needs to be fixed ... Or atleast removed from the appointment with immediate effect.. A strong message must be sent ... Committees etc will just buy you a bureaucratic delay ...Justice for the same will arrive after seven years which will be another sad episode of mockery... No use ...Period .... Human resource ministry or home affairs must institute drastic measures so that security of the campus is not breached ..
