Thank you dear š¤You just echoed my feelings ....many celebs in past and present have insisted that whatever comes out in public wrt them is what THEY want to us to know. Nothing more nothing less..I understand the sentiments of the shippers ..unfortunately in today's times freedom means a ridiculous level of irresponsibility . Freedom to say or do anything still does not give us a right to intrude in anybody's personal space and comment on them no matter how easy it is in today's times..
Didnt wanna bring this up but as an example there was this very famous couple from a top show on sp , recently they were rumored to break up ..so what exactly changed on screen? They are still as good as they were before.... A girl and a boy cant be friends ? There has to be a name given to them ? They cant be cordial or professional ...moment they smile together on sbs you know what happens ! The funny part is the moment something goes wrong these same people leave no stone turned to abuse ...call them names and assume the worst...Just let them be in whichever way they want ..they have families , they are answerable to them . All this made up and break up news must be affecting them somewhere? Social media is one filthy place to let all our frustrations out on them without any fear ? Just for what we believe to be true or not true ? Sick isnt it !
Nothing more to add Charu...š¤
WRT bold, I'm hereby posting a hyperlink of a famous TED Talk, The Price of Shame by Monica Lewinsky. It is the same thing you have highlighted, albeit in her words. We can judge her righteousness or moral compass differently, but whatever she has told about social media, is riveting and worth sparing a thought about...

If you think social media is sick and irresponsible, it will simply magnify that knowledge, but not in a pleasant way at all!!!
