I recently went to Suresh Wadkar's live show where this was sung by him on public demand. Incidentally most of the musicians on SNDN were on that show. Ravindra sang this quite well but the original is in a league of his own.

What I thought was that Ravindra's song was kept at a lower level than the instruments being played. Audio technicians are supposed to set levels properly and ensure that the accompanists volume is kept at a lower level than the vocalists. That is the impression I got. I may be wrong.

I don't know much about that but I think you are right. They did that on purpose I feel. His was not an outstanding rendition of that song by any means but since Raju's went with his tried and tasted route, judges had to give Ravindra the katyaar. In all honesty, he did not deserve to be there for a second time if Raju wasn't the other contender.

Sachin Pilgaonkar on SNDN next week.

It is good that atleast some are singing old Marathi songs👍🏼.

I watched first few episodes of both SNDN and Yuva singer. But they were either repeating songs or were rendering Hindi songs. So I stopped watching both of them😆.

Asha Bhosale and Suresh Wadkar⭐️. I never heard this one before. Fantastic👍🏼 .

It's from the movie 'Aapli manse'. Movie is good too. Ashof Saraf and Rima Lagoo are exceptional. Do watch it if you get a chance.

Shravani was awesome today and deservedly got genius from both judges. She and Akshaya are now among the strongest contenders for the finalist's list. Will Shravani be the Rajgayika this time? I hope so.

And tomorrow we have Akshaya. The promo shows the backing musician in great excitement (in my view, when the song is performed really well I have observed a different level of excitement among the accompanists when they are playing) and later a salute from Sachin which means we can expect another rousing performance.

Shravani's has shown exponential growth and her confidence for a 10 year old is amazing. She deserves to be the Rajgayika. Other performances were a bit mediocre IMO. Looking forward to tomorrow's episode.
