I think Ekta is good when she gives as realistic characters as possible..once she imagines they become caricatures..she doesn't have imagination power unlike Gul.

I haven t watched season 1 but yes I followed EK interviews along with Parica interviews since the time first promo was released. Till now I'm attached to the show bcoz of just one character that is Anurag Basu. He is shown to go to any extent for his love. I know many people have bashed him in every possible way but the fact is if he didn't fight people would have labelled him as loser and spineless which iv e scene people calling season 1 Anurag here at this forum itself. So I'm happy that he is a fighter...

One more reason to stick to the show has been Parica as AnuPre 😍😍their chemistry has been amazing from starting itself which clicked instantly for me.

Regarding Bajaj I'm sad for the character and the actor both the way he was introduced and how his track has been scrapped... it's terrible and truly the legacy of Bajaj has been destroyed and hopefully they don't bring him back to recieve a similar treatment once again 🤔

I too believe that this reboot wasn't needed after watching the show for the last one year.

That's the main problem now with her shows. The show starts wonderfully, then just loses the plot .

Kasauti was my first Ekta show. And I connected to it for various themes it introduced

- Magic of first love, the yearning for that one love of your life, the love that you experienced for the first time in life

- Prerna Sharma - strong, independent, self respecting. She was a working woman, who stood against her first love in business when he ditched her

- Rishabh Bajaj - The shrewd ruthless businessman, come up with no family whatsoever.

- love can happen a second time theme - prerish. It was so beautifully established.

- Anurag- First love wishing happiness for the other, while letting go, yet always involved and protective

- All the above led to jealousy, insecurity, schemes, manipulations

- Kasatuti was always about unrequited love - Prerna-Anurag, Prerna-Rishabh (he was always insecure about her love for Anurag), probably Anurag-Komolika in an obsessive way

SO many themes that were a first.

Season 2 , they shied away from showing a lot of the above

Times are different yes. One cannot show the same. But I did expect them to incorporate a lot of modern factors into the story, using the underlying themes already present.

Why? Because S1 had a broad storyline and a strong one at that.

Why name it Kasauti and call it a reboot??? Ekta could've called it any other name and continued with her soulmates story.

Well i have to disagree with your post on more points than agree.

1. All the success of Re boot that you mentioned are based on novels or epic stories like Mahabharat/ Ramayana are timeliness eternal studies with complex woven character..I will NO way compare even TV serial even Season 1 coming to any such complex characters not even Komo and Bajaj...They were then and even today staple TRP characters on ITV.

2. Even in epics no would come close to BR Chopra Mahabharat or Ramanand Sagar Ramayana because they were tightly made with excellence on all departments. Even Phoneix Tadd Joker is as per me not close to Ledger' JOker.

3. Only EK knows why she chose Kasauti reboot over other Saas Bahu may be Youth Love angle for this generation, any one can only guess

4. I am no fan of Season 1 and left after multiple marriage drama and after seeing this Season many are able to see alternate possibility of how even that season could have gone for A&P' love story although basic contour of them not uniting remaining same.

5.I think what makes most of people salty is that so called iconic character in Season 1 could neither get that popularity. Komo track did fetch TRP but character could NOT, Bajaj track actor did well but character and TRP both tanked. This has led to severe disappointment in fans of these characters.

6.Not that this was not done with leads A&P, their character have been butchered as well..Their fans have got used to it as well..

7. As far as actors are concerned, they have got employment, i do not think they may be seeing it in all this one sided way because it has opened door for new opportunities.

I think it would be better that more than a decade has passed and this season is looked in fresh light rather than constant comparison with Season 1. Those were different times and era.

Despite all this there is no denial this shows lacks good writing big time and drastic improvement can be done..If not that it will stutter and go.

gul shows were very nice in the beginning.but later it became repetitive by showing forced marriage n angry young man- uneducated middle class girl in most of her shows.she even broke 2 good jodies in IB for no reason.also in her shows she focuses only on one pair n all other characters are sidelined wasting the talent of the actors

kzk was good during that time.but now no one can tolerate pre marital pregnancy rape marrying many people n producing kids from different partners.after a long time ekta showed multiple marriage of leads on kzk2 which viewers hated a lot.ekta should understand that.

yes.ekta took naagin concept from RS. RS showed bad naagin in ssk. but ekta showed naagin as positive in her naagin series

Ekta caught from SSK that ppl loved Naagin episodes, Makki episodes and it boost highest TRP of that show..she made it a complete show basking on the concept...ppl always love such things.

yes now people call anurag as a psycho seeing him fighting for prerna.but if he had kept silent people would have called him spineless like s1 anurag was labelled as.I dont know whether reboot was needed or not.because in s1 anupre story was horrible.they got separated in one month when anurag ditched prerna just for his mom who didn't want a middle class bahu. anurag got kamo pregnant n prerna was an unmarried pregnant woman.at least in s2 anupre story is better

There is nothing about Season 1 that I liked apart from prem/mukti track. Well Ok I liked Anupre1 till Anu married Komo and moved on so easily...From then on I didn't like the story at all...I think it was a big mess with a lot of back and forth of the male lead characters in and out of the show and in case of Anu with new face change at the latter stages and all those children and wives and their stories.....Frankly I hated I was forced to watch that show because at the time it was always on during our dinner time and mom used to watch it.

I'll agree that if we disregard the names, the story has actually been different this time and could easily have been pitched as a new show altogether. I think the only similarity is that of Anu the character....I liked Anu1 too....BUT this time I ADORE the sightly different treatment of Anu2 from the start and the charm that Parth the actor has brought to the character. And I love the Basu family. Even Moh and Moloy has a charm to them and Moloy's equation with his children and Pre is beautiful. (BTW today's Moloy scene at the hospital with Pre, Anu, Pam and Moh was so beautiful...reminded me of the times before Anukom marriage when things were good in the show.

And I love Pre2 the character too till Bajaj track. I love Anupre2 too because they have stuck to loving each other despite their stupidity and circumstances.

And whatever happens in future I would still from time to time go back and watch the first 9 months of this season before Bajaj's entry...because of Anurag and Anupre....

Just like I watch Prem/mukti track from season1.

So for me, I find the current season way better because of Anurag and Anupre.....The rest is inconsequential. Maybe I even subconsciously treat this as a different story anyways...but the entrance of Bajaj and shows hints to start something between Prejaj nearly ruined this season for me too...

I don't know what's in store for future, but for now I'll still take my chances even with this current not so innocent Anurag and the muted Pre.....I'm looking forward to the revival of these characters to their former glory of before Bajaj's entry. I know stupid of me to expect anything from these CVs, but even the current form of these two characters be chalega...as long as they can keep the essence of Anupre loving each other no matter what and no third angle getting anything from them. They can remain single and unmarried or whatever. I don't mind. I just want to see them in love and fighting for each other till the end.
