You see what the writer is trying to show is that Sameer in his childhood was being brainwashed by the maid Shakra played by Yumna Zaidi...in those flashback scenes its shown that his step mother used to lock him in the attic or something and the maid would teach him to become dangerous and be like an animal and well basically he used to be kept in the dark so these two things became connected in his mind...Now that hes grown up whenever it becomes dark his mind recalls all those attic moments and Shakras teachings so thats become another personality within him. The scenes where Yumna is shown in his room talking to him as Sameera thats actually his subconscious mind/other personality.

Now here is where the writer got confused and messed up. Because Sameer is supposed to have split personality but he is shown to be having schizophrenia instead when he hears voices in his head like Shakra telling him to kill Zoya etc. And in one scene Shakra was shown walking in Gohars garden and smiling at her while Sameer wasnt there so that boggled me too. Are they trying to hint that Shakra aka Sameers subconscious mind is danger for Gohar?

Thanks Hina for explaining the mother things, still his stepmom has influenced on him.

If he sees Shakra is fine because it is all in his head, but how Gohar can see her?

It is like Shakra's ghost because she was killed...

I hope they give all the explanations and reasons in coming episodes.

The chemistry between Sonia and Zahid makes me root for Gauhar and Sameer, I know he has a mental illness, but it doesn't mean that he has no right to love or be loved. It is about humanity.❤️It will be difficult for Gauhar to live with him if they got married, but there are some cases when a woman stand by her husband in his illness, takes care of him, there are medicines, and with a psychiatrict's guide and some assisstance maybe she can manage.

I love their chemistry too. I liked Gauhar and Kashif too but now I don't want Sameer and Dunia to lose out on the little happiness they have gotten in their lives. And I want dunia-kashif and sameer-gauhar pairs bcz their is a spark between them. Sameer and Gauhar look amazing together.

Idk if u noticed in the hospital scene. There Sameer says he cannot trust anyone again. So may be when he killed Zoya he was actually trying to gain her trust. Showing him his other side was a way of opening up to her. But she got scared and he was scared too hence whatever happened. Now if he finally trusts Gauhar I hope she handles it better than Zoya, which she will. And he may be trust her and she may help him get out of it. Idk may be.

There are so many things wrong about sameer- killing Zoya, slapping Gauhar- but still I can't help but root for him and Gauhar. Strange

I think this drama succeeded in making us understand that those who have mental ilnesses are victims of bad upbringing, and some other matters which have no hand in them, they are humans and they need sympathy and good treatment, not in the way which we see in society where such ppl are sent to mental assylums by their families and left there without any visits or caring.😒

You can see he is promoting dargah , he did so in Dhaani too. I don't say that such things are against Islam , but they can give ppl the impression that they need to get someone's help to make Allah accept their dua.

Fortune teller appeared twice in this drama , this means that something horrible is going to happen in future. If nothing happens viewers will be disappointed , coz they may feel that they are cheated by the writer.

I am enjoying the discussions here, but I am still behind in the show , I am being really lazy in catching up with shows these days

I hope too. Oh yes the ost's lyrics sometimes also explain a lot more than we think.

Definitely. It's time to not see them as a social anomaly but as a part of society. I hope they don't rush through it and address it well. Bcz it's already 16 episodes and they are yet to come together
