I don't know about it, I just read somewhere that Sameer has split persona . I read about it on wiki, to get the difference between it and Schizophrenia, and they turned out to be different from each other.

Two different mental problem. One of my Sis in law is schizophrenic but nothing like split personality.

Sameer is deeply suffering with something but not schizophrenia for sure.

Is this step mother used to torture him when he was little?

Or his own mother used to neglect him and put in the storage? Which mother comes in the flashback?

I'm very confused about his mother thingy. If anyone can shade some light...

It is his step mother, and I appreciate it that they cast a younger actress who looks similar to Ismat Zaidi for those fb scenes.👍🏼

It doesn't look like schizophrenia because that would only explain him imagining Yumna's character but not Sameer's cross dressing.

Whatever it is, i hope makers don't show that Gohar's love and dedication fixes his problems without any medical help. That's just lame and wrong at so many levels. In our subcontinent, we emphasize way too much on inaccurate non-medical emotional remedies when it comes to mental help.

On a lighter note, Does no one wonder how every night Sameer/sameera is clean shaven but has a light mustache and stubble next morning. 😂😂😂😂

Bipolar disorder is mainly symptoms of Mania like grandiosity, talktiveness, decrease need for sleep, racing thoughts. +/- depression.

Schizophrenia is delusions, hallucinations, disorganised speech, decrease motivation, inability to feel pleasure, lack of speech.

Dissociative identity disorder ( multiple/split personality disorder) is 2 or more identities. Usually associated with history of PTSD, sexual abuse, depression.

I believe Sameer has dissociative disorder. He's not just hallucinating about Sameera, he's experiencing that personality. Plus he had ptsd/depressive experience.

You see what the writer is trying to show is that Sameer in his childhood was being brainwashed by the maid Shakra played by Yumna Zaidi...in those flashback scenes its shown that his step mother used to lock him in the attic or something and the maid would teach him to become dangerous and be like an animal and well basically he used to be kept in the dark so these two things became connected in his mind...Now that hes grown up whenever it becomes dark his mind recalls all those attic moments and Shakras teachings so thats become another personality within him. The scenes where Yumna is shown in his room talking to him as Sameera thats actually his subconscious mind/other personality.

Now here is where the writer got confused and messed up. Because Sameer is supposed to have split personality but he is shown to be having schizophrenia instead when he hears voices in his head like Shakra telling him to kill Zoya etc. And in one scene Shakra was shown walking in Gohars garden and smiling at her while Sameer wasnt there so that boggled me too. Are they trying to hint that Shakra aka Sameers subconscious mind is danger for Gohar?
