Given everything they have been through, a strong emotional bond was created. It was also given a name when they kept referring to each other as baap-beti. The only thing that stopped it from being official was the marriage or legal status. Besides, if Minnie never wanted him in a fatherly capacity, then she should have spoken up about it during the Puja. But she didn't, and she continued to encourage his thinking with her own words and actions.

Oh there's definitely a lot more going on in his childhood that we haven't delved into yet. We're only touching the surface of his trauma with his mom, but we haven't even talked about all the stuff that went down with his dad.

I know, right? I feel the CVs have deliberately avoided talking about it because they will bring it up in some spectacular way and also because they want to keep the suspense.

Both HS and Minnie have serious daddy issues, and more than that abandonment issues. I saw it in their eyes today and to me, HS almost looked like he wouldn't be surprised if Babita left him. Minnie has lost her father, Ashok, and is afraid of losing her mother too.

Interesting that he chose to close the room to himself too instead of sleeping there alone. Why do you think? Is it because he wanted to make a new start there with his wife or because he didn't want to sleep in that room and feel the loneliness even more without Babita there.

I can't help feeling it was on some level related to the fact that Minnie had set the room up for them, but I guess we might never know. I am still dying of curiosity, though.

Despite the room being locked up, he sleeps right in front of it. I think this is something that happened since childhood. His dad was a drunkard so who knows how often he stayed at home in his stupor. If he didn't, then it's most likely that as a young child HS slept with his mom. So it'll be her crying in that room while he tried to comfort her. If this is true, then he wouldn't have the heart to sleep in there alone because all he can hear is his mother's cries.

Even with Babita in that room, he wouldn't be able to have a decent night's sleep. He needs to talk about his mom first, before he can think about moving forward.

Right now, that's all that room signifies. Loss, and a yearning for something that can never be attained.

In some ways I would appreciate it if the daddy issues come up whilst HS & Minnie have their conversation. HS doesn't need to go in all the minute details, but definitely touch on what a father's role means to him.

Agreed. He would never want to become the reason why Minnie loses both her parents. If it means for him to completely remove himself from the equation, he'll do it. And that's exactly what Minnie is doing right now for her Babes.

Gosh, I desperately want a HS & Minnie talk now. These two don't need to torture themselves like this.

It’s Babita’s pariksha now. Whenever she has faltered, Mini and HS came and showed her the way. NB too did at many times.

But when Mini and HS falters, where is Babita? In her freak out mode? Is that all she is capable of?

God I am so pissed at her inability to see others pain and hurt. Today was the worst.

Not to fix but to guide her and him too .. right now they both need guidance

I know, it hurts me to see them like this. The marriage was supposed to give them both the security they needed and in some ways to also ensure no legal hurdles were there, yet the opposite effect is now seen.

I still remember their conversation when she apologized to him and how in a few minutes he painted the picture of his childhood watching his mother suffer. I think something along those lines is about to happen and it will be painful but beautiful to see that revelation, especially if he brings up the topic of his father.

And you're right, HS is totally Amar Prem material. As he said, he would fight the entire world, give up his life if he had to for her, to baap hone ka haq kya cheez hai? I think with all that happened the last couple of days, it's like the light and the hope Minnie had brought into his life went out with her stepping back.
