Hello. I wanted to understand something about Prerna's character but didn't want to open a topic because they end up serving every purpose under the Sun except doing what they were supposed to do.
So I'm typing this here. There has been a lot of discussion about Prerna hiding her pregnancy. While I don't want to have a conversation on how old the baby is and the whole lack of attention paid to the baby track in general, I wanted a set of opinions on the most legitimate reason she is hiding this from Anurag.
While it is morally wrong, I feel like the need to legitimize her child takes precedence over anything else. A need our society nurtures and validates. Especially for women. And for someone like Prerna who has been ridiculed, rejected, and has trust issues, I can somewhat understand the predicament. Her child will always grow up to be ridiculed, taunted and mocked by the society for being, "illegitimate" (absolutely hate the word). A concern a lot of mothers feel. Especially in the backdrop of this show. Had she been married to Anurag, this would've come off differently. But now that she's Bajaj's wife, I wonder how she feels about any of it.
I have no idea how this was handled in S1. I'm sure far far better.
Is she wrong in hiding Anurag's child from him? Yes.
On one side, I hope the show can break society's taboos. On the other side, that's expecting far too much from a show like kzk.

Prerna not revealing the pregnancy to Anurag is definitely wrong.. Yet when was the right time to reveal it? She had consciously hidden it from Anurag during Anu-Kom track and to some extent that was understood then because she was blinded by anger then.. Then there was one small time period where everything was rosy rosy and dreamy dreamy for Anu-Pre which was the perfect timing to get the good news out because both were in the mood of celebrating their love and getting back together.. I know it must've been a shock to ladka while he was interested in getting his hubby job he's directly promoted to daddy job 😆 ladki too no less that before she could enjoy her wifey state she's been torn between the first wife, mommy and then dreamy wife jobs.. All mixed together Anu-Pre never got to do what's right by both of them then.. And now it's another time where there's no need to reveal the pregnancy for whatever outcomes that it could bring to Anu-Pre and the child.. With Pre wanting him to move on, the baby could be a hindrance for his moving on.. With Anu not even remembering their consummation this is nowhere gonna help him but only put him more into guilt for whatever he did to her in Anu-Kom track where she had everything against her including him.. And now the pregnancy news coming out will put everyone judging and jumping to assumptions thus making evidences for the proof which is further gonna spoil Anu-Pre and the child, that is already weakened and spoiled. In that case the legitimacy that Mr. B could bring to the baby may take precedence over the morality.
In the name of eternal love story there is everything that they're trying to show between the couple except for the love.. Agreed Anu-Pre never meant to be together but their love is meant to be there.. Where is that now?!!
And the CVs drama behind the pregnancy is very well understood, making it all bad about it and there is no reality to it at all..
It's high time this show shuts down before they sell this eternal love with all love dead between them..
