Shahid actually had to smoke 20 cigarettes a day just for his Kabir SIngh role and then showered for hours before going back to his kids. He is kind of a method actor so taking such risk is indeed part of a good acting, as he had to explore how the character suffered.

You are speaking as in Sandeep had been so well known face in BW since the beginning that he brought Shahid all his success. Let's not forget what a good performer Shahid always has been (if possible rewatch his Kaminey, Haider, UP). Sandeep is no SLB, so when someone congrats Shahid you can't just tell anyone that congratulate to the director only. Rather let's give credit to both the director and the actor. Period.

I expressed my view . shahid is doing Rangoon n almost no role in padmavat ,almost nearing to end n director given him new life as solo hero n increased his stature , I am giving due to director , major part credit director Sandeep who given new life to shahid as solo hero n given tat bumper opening even shahid can't expect in his dreams is all due to magic of director sandeep ,period .

This isn't an easy role and for Shahid to go to such a dark place and then return back home everyday to his little children must have been difficult. Mira was pregnant at around the shoot time too na?

Zayn was born just before Shahid started to shooting for the film.😊
