Yes. If Sonakshi's lecture made even little bit sense i would have still hopes on them that they try to balance it with Rohit's counter arguements and they dont justify it...but here they have shown in the previous episode how doc conveyed his hug to the person who said such inspirational poem and blah blah...And also they are trying to justified it by showing how little girl actually benefitting from TV character parvathi...it is very unrealistic that some 6 yr old child (age dont remember exactly) getting inspiration/strength from a TV character in the first place lol...I mean i dont think 6 yrs old child takes the TV character words so seriously..

Lol I also found this a bit weird. Don’t little kids mainly watch cartoons and Disney channel shows? 😕

So how did this kid become such a Parvati super fan? Lol is this the case that mom put on TV toh whole family started watching the show and everyone from Papa to little Pari became Parvati super fans? 🙄😂. That’s still super weird. A little kid addicted to a nonsensical soap at this age. 🤦‍♀️

Shouldn’t parents try to take responsibility for what they expose their kids to? Kids this little likely don’t have the ability to process this as simply fiction. It will bring about wrong influences.

My reaction to Sonakshi's dialogues was the same as Rohit's. It did come across as senseless preaching; more like something a 'Parvati' would say. Sonakshi was just blindly defending the whole thing.

I think good creativity should be about keeping things entertaining while making sure things are within logic. I wish Rohit had countered Sonakshi's point by asking... What could have gone wrong if the doctor managed to perform the surgery and save the patient? Would it have lessened the hope or positivity? But looks like the point of this debate is to justify Sonakshi's and the TV industry's stance.

Exactly. Which is why it’s not even a real debate. It’s all skewed towards only justifying and glorifying anything shown in saas bahu soaps. A well balanced debate would acknowledge both sides of the argument equally.

But it’s clear this story will be told from Sonakshi’s POV and Rohit will be expected to accept her version of the issue as the “right” one.

Lol beyond ridiculous that the audience is expected to accept this lame justification that mindless storylines are all good cuz some soap fans are stupid and gullible enough to WORSHIP their fav TV characters 🙄. This is like taking advantage of gullible people rather than taking an ethical stand for logic.

Rohit's reaction is totally awesome, funny and relatable and most of sensible people feel on these serials. Sonakshi 's take is not convincing. This serial is bringing what's illogical going on ITV which pretty good and interesting concept and looking forward to it.

@bold: that will be all the worse. They had better drop the debate angle and just keep to spoofing and showing stuff in a comic way; without trying to justify anything.

When Sonakshi was giving lecture about industry then I thought Rohit is listening to her seriously but when he said, Itna lamba dialogue? Kitna wakt laga yaad karane main? OMG! That was so funny 😆.

For me Sonakshis character is unrealistic. Instead of showing all sides of an tv actress, she's shown as pure white, an idealistic person like typical ITV bahu.

Exactly.Kids of that age either watch cartoons or spend outside with the other kids playing games lol...Man my mom also used to watch lame regional shows from my childhood, but i was allergic to these TV shows until 4 yrs back LOL😂....May be this generation kids spend most of the time with phones, laptop and TVs😕😆...Parents should be blamed for this..And also yes child of that age hardly knows it was a TV show...They believe the characters are real people...And also if kid is the fan of characters like Anika or Rudy toh still can understand 😂,but child is a fan of OTT character of melodramatic lame show😂 and gets strength/inspiration from her inspirational poem😆 like kuch bhi😆..

I agree.....they shud hv given few shades to her character. I remember almost 15 years ago one show used to come on starone ...remix....in that show there was a track of a filmstar Sonia ray. She was gud by heart but completly OTT. There her chemistry and comic timing with the businessman who never watched films was superb and classic. I was expecting something like that when the trailers surfaced.

Let see how they shape up sonakshi and rohits character.

Yes, lets see how they handle it. Just now I read the pinkvilla article. In that Sandeep Sikand said Sonakshi character is inspired by Divyanka Tripathi.

@bold

Exactly thats what i was thinking too...But sab ko entertainment dena hai bhai..Acc to them No logic = Entertainment🤔😆..

Its better if they focus on original theme of the show ie.,how two ppl with hectic daily life schedules make time for each other in a relationship ...ofcourse yes they have to fall in love first to reach that point of the story and so they need interactions now but i would have appreciated if they have shown Sonakshi character little bit sensible and like she loves acting, but she gets only these kind of lame roles and shows,so she had no other chance and she pointing out all the lameness in the shows in which she is acting( like in "I dont watch TV " web series lol)...I would have connected more with her ...but here it seems writer is more interested in justifying all the lameness in the TV shows through her character rather than focusing on her basic characterization.Other than her being a FL in a TV show, what is her real identity and personality? Thats what they should focus on.It was shown a little bit in first episode like how she likes to act in military or hospital related Ads without taking her paycheck..Thats it ,Then they deviated to the track of how the TV industry works blah blah😆
