Yeah Bengali people are irritating. I had one guy who came home to put our house' wallpaper and he was the most annoying soul I came across, ever. I live in the UK.

Bhaskar wanted Piku to focus on her own life instead of being married (he was a grouch against his dead wife for the same matter). In short, he was a twisted guy with a mind of his own. He hardly cared for anyone else.

It was Shoojit Sircar's desire to make a film on constipation and this is what he did. Uff, this is insane. Truth be told, this film hardly has any factor that makes it likeable to me. I only liked Rana's character.

It was touted as some iconic film but it isn't. I enjoyed The Lunchbox and Qarib Qarib Single.

Yeah I guess the characters weren't good enough for me.

Even i feel she isn't good in Chennai Express and is overrated there.

Rani.

They are used to such tough demeanour in real life so they naturally fit Piku.

Rani would've been a good choice. She is Bengali in real life as well.

Yeah, MeenAmma is another character of her which is praised for no great reason. I didn't find it funny or entertaining.

Veronica is my most favourite Deepika character.

About Piku's marriage, she didn't find anyone interesting anyway to take such a big step(until Rana I guess)..so that call was on her solely. It didn't bother me at all. Also deep down she didn't want to leave her father alone.

Due to the hype on IF , I watched Piku with my family in theaters in India (first time after 20 yrs) ... I liked the movie but... no one in my family liked it.. and all were blaming me for loss of time and money... :(

no one else. this film need not be made. stupid idiotic boring silly cheap bokwas movie. full movie potty potty. looked more like a documentary on how to do potty after eating roti. if kaachodi khaane se he could do then should have eaten kachodi everyday instead of troubling daughter all these days. thush thush ke khilao ush budhdhe ko kachodi.
