Part 3
The day had arrived when Minnie dressed as bride was happily waiting for her groom. Tensed Hanuman was pacing to and fro in entire haveli making sure everything was perfect for his veer balika. Babita was standing alone in terrace away from madness of wedding mania that had engulfed the entire haveli with so many people thronging in to celebrate her daughter's grand day. Hanuman saw her as she wiped some tears from her face looking down as her eyes met his. She smiled a little as she saw him looking at her but he did notice that pain in those eyes behind that smile as he came upstairs.
Together they had spend six long years in this haveli , their journey till here has been of ups and down. Hanuman had never proposed to Babita directly but his care had shown Babita at many instances on how he feels for her but Babita had never tried to touch upon that subject with hanuman.
For Babita Hanuman was a friend , philosopher and guide and yes she felt that any woman would be lucky to have him as a life partner in her life. There have been some moments of jealousy in these years whenever she had seen Hanuman with society's ladies. He was ladies favorite man and this did bother Babita though she successfully managed to hide it every time.
Babita ji , aap theek hain? Hanuman asked her softly as he noticed the tears marks on her cheeks as she hurriedly wiped them off.
Ji main theek hu bas woh aaj Minnie chali jayegi na hamesha ke liye toh?
Hanuman stood with her in that quiet moment of her acceptance of her fear of letting Minnie go away. He let her pour out her heart talks that moment to him like she always did in past six years. Hanuman felt helpless at times as he wanted to assure her that she was not alone after Minnie is gone but chose to remain silent. Her tears had transcended to his eyes as he wiped one or two from his eyes. Hanuman tried lifting up her mood with his funny antics as usual just making Babita come out of her emotional zone.
As she laughed finally , he heaved a sigh of relief.
Wedding rituals had gone smoothly and guests appreciated brilliant food served. Time for Bidaai had come as their dear daughter hugged her mother and cried, hanuman's heart too got heavy as he moved bit to backside getting out of sight for Minnie..
Minnie looked for her hanuman uncle in the crowd that had come to bid farewell but could not find him as Babita too looked around ..
Kaha chale gaye tere hanuman uncle..
Minnie had to board a flight so she could no longer wait as her in laws and her husband were calling out but how can she go without bidding him good bye...
Minnie went up to his room as guests wondered ..
