Whenever someone does this good in day looks I start worrying they'd dissapont at rc. Hope that's not the case

She looked so good that year. The gown made a statement without being over the top. This year both hers and Deepika’s dresses have been too much..too costumy..too try hard. The dresses were wearing them instead of the other way around.

Damn.. L'oreal did a blunder letting Sonam go..She works fashion and makeup like no other..

And we can already see that..compare Aish and DP's looks with Sonam's looks so far and see the difference..and she has not even been on the RC yet.

Agreed Aish is beautiful but her age shows.. specially in close ups.. makeup artist needs to do a better job..she looked much much better in her Cannes arrival pics. And with her it's always been hits and misses..she isn't known for fashion.

Believe it or not.. people r actually waiting for Sonam's Cannes look in India (outside IF)..coz they know she delivers.. doesn't matter for which brand.. And her look in red is divine.

Sonam arrived yesterday..When is she walking the RC?

Also people who do tend to follow Sonam, do more so for her fashion and beauty, mostly not for her acting, so she already has a market who keep an eye on what she does when it comes to these things. They may not go watch her movies but they sure move the number for her brands. I don’t see why so many luxury brands will lend things to her for her films unless they don’t see the same target market.

How does SM induced mainstream acceptance or whatever you've called it means people go buy those things. Even if I accept that then what's Sonam's brand ranking compared to her contemporaries. That should tell you everything. Where she stands in the Indian market. Her reach. Now price of perfumes and how much mass market wants to pay is done by surveys. If it's affordable compared to others you can penetrate the market,if not you won't. Sonam's branding could put it on SM networks but mass market depends on how much the consumers trust or react to her appeal.
