Which wouldn't happen because Sonam appeal is on the downside of the curve if I use jargon here in the Indian market and the only way a mass penetration is possible is if the product is affordable. If both don't work out they don't have a reach. Sonam needs enough of fanbase too. It's a two way street.

But others beg to differ according to them Chopard has no need to penetrate the masses they are only trying to cater to the rich elite crowd who are aware of their products. In this case affordability matters more than the celeb endorser to penetrate the masses.

How? Sonam did wonders for Anamika , Masaba ...to get them such mainstream acceptance. She has done it with many other brands. How do we know pricing works for perfume market in India? How does the price compares to it’s contemporaries?

Also people who do tend to follow Sonam, do more so for her fashion and beauty, mostly not for her acting, so she already has a market who keep an eye on what she does when it comes to these things. They may not go watch her movies but they sure move the number for her brands. I don’t see why so many luxury brands will lend things to her for her films unless they don’t see the same target market.
