He's moving away from the historical genre and his next film, Inshallah, is a rom-com. I did read some comments here in which people were saying that historical genre is his USP and people just won't be interested in watching his modern/urban films anymore.

Do you think this is true? Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam was a romantic drama which turned out to be a massive success.

PS: I know people are sceptic about Salman-Alia pairing and so am I 🤢 but would you be interested in watching this film if it had Deepika, Anushka etc.?

He got Bhai and Eid. So definitely people will be watching Inshallah.

It's not gonna work imo. Most of his non historical/non period movies like Khamoshi, Black, Saawriya and Guzaarish are flops.

What? Black didn't flop. It was an average grosser and I honestly don't think BO figures should be given that much importance when it comes to a film like Black.

Black was one of the highest Indian grossing films that year.

HDDCS isn't that success as Devdas. It is just cult classic.

Bhai fans have a type, agar movie ush criteria mai nahi huyi toh flop hogi.
Plus itne log Alia ke down fall ka pray kar rahe hai, toh SRK ne bhi kaha tha,

Lol so? 😆 That's not the point. If SLB can make something urban on par with HDDCS then why won't it work?
