Alia Bhatt handles unexpected fan grab with patience while attending Durga Puja pandal

Actor Alia Bhatt faced a tricky situation at a Durga Puja pandal in Mumbai on Wednesday when a fan unexpectedly held her arm to click a picture. Despite the tense moment, she handled the situation with patience, requesting security not to escalate the scene further and obliging the fan for the photograph.

The pandal, organised by the families of Kajol and Rani Mukerji, was bustling with visitors and several celebrities. Alia was making her way towards the main area, surrounded by her security team, when a female fan grabbed her left arm and tried to pull her aside. A video shared on Instagram by paparazzi pages captured the actor looking surprised as security personnel intervened. Alia calmly asked them to stay composed and allowed the fan to take a picture before moving ahead, saying there was no need to create more chaos.

During her visit, Alia also spent time chatting with Rani Mukerji and clicked pictures with director Ayan Mukerji and Tanishaa Mukerji. She chose a yellow lehenga paired with a full-sleeve white blouse, keeping her look festive yet understated. Actor Ranbir Kapoor, her husband, had attended the same pandal a day earlier. Both Ranbir and Alia have previously collaborated with Ayan on the film Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva.

Several other Bollywood stars have visited the same Durga Puja celebrations in recent days, including Priyanka Chopra, Twinkle Khanna, Bipasha Basu, Karan Singh Grover, and Sushmita Sen, making it a high-profile cultural event this season.

Professionally, Alia was last seen in Jigra and is set to appear in the action thriller Alpha alongside Sharvari and Bobby Deol. She also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in the pipeline.

The incident highlighted Alia’s calm and composed approach in managing unexpected situations in public spaces. Even amid the chaos, she ensured the fan got a photograph while maintaining decorum and avoiding any escalation with the surrounding crowd.
