Bani closed her eyes desperately when she heard Daksh's footsteps stop. She opened her eyes to see the man holding Daksh back… the same man who has been stealing her sleep for many days… the same man whose voice she craved to hear… the same man who made her home… the same man who broke her heart… the same man who meant the world to her.
As a fight broke out between the two of them, Bani huddled in a corner. The man hit very hard and Daksh fell to the floor. He walked over to the shivering Bani, and put his hand protectively around her shoulder and hugged her tight. Blood dribbled out of Daksh's mouth as he shakily stood up.
D: Who the hell are you to come in between?
J: She is my WIFE!!
Jai Walia finally accepted that Bani Dixit was his wife. Dakh hurriedly left the place. Jai looked down and tried consoling a shivering Bani, when she pushed him away. She turned her back to him and stared at the empty sky.
Life had become very difficult for Jai, without Bani in the past few days. There wasn't a single day he didn't call her, but all he got in response was that she was not available. The frustration, anger, disappointment… everything came crashing down upon him… but it is afterall the reality.
J: you are still mad at me Bani?
Bani didn't reply, instead she started to walk away when Jai grabbed her hand. His warm touch evoked all the hidden feelings she had for him. All the days she spent without him were hell. But, images flashed infront of her eyes and she immediately freed her hand and ran away, with tears running down her eyes. Jai was devasted as he too slowly walked back to the ceremony. He went down the memory lane, recollecting everything... his one mistake...
Jai Walia was India's top industriliast. There was nothing that he lacked. From looks to principles, he had everything… He was very sincere and never had any girlfriends. He respected woman and planned to settle down with one.
One day, a girl named Pia Dixit walked into his office, asking for a job. He would have naturally said no, but seeing the girl's enthusiasim and being slightly attracted to her, he gave her the position of his personal assistant.
Days went by and both of them came closer and closer to each other. Jai found himself falling head over heels for this girl, he met a few days ago. He knew that she was from a small town, Mt. Abu and her parents were very old fashioned. Against their approval, Pia became very modernized, wearing mini skirts and things like that, and eventually moved to Mumbai, in search of a job. She had two youngers sisters, one being Bani and the other Rano.
Soon, Jai realized that Pia was the girl who he was waiting for. He proposed to her and she agreed without a second thought. Just as he thought that everything was perfect, a dreadful news came that Pia ran away. He was first shocked. He didn't understand what lacked in their love that she decided to take such a step. Its not as if, he didn't give her a choice. She was free to do anything she wanted.
It became a major issue and Jai knew that once the press found out, it would be a big scandal and that his image as a good and decent business man would go down the drain. That's when Nishikant and Kiran Dixit suggested that he should marry Bani, who was of married age. As parents, they were ashamed of what their daughter did and wanted at any cost to replace their respect in the eyes of Jai Walia.
And Jai agreed, having no other choice. But those few days he spent searching for Pia, he faced hell. He decided then and there that he would find her… he would find her no matter what and punish her for what she did. Ask her, why she left him. That anger he felt for being rejected and cheated, made him into a beast.
He was not interested in Bani. Frankly he only married her for the sake of his reputation. He and Bani shared no relationship. He never bothered to find out how she was feeling and didn't even talk to her for courtesy sake. Days passed on with Jai dying in his own grief. One such evening, when he was in the study drinking his favourite whiskey, he heard Bani speak for the first time.
B: Why do you drink so much Mr. Walia, it is not good for you
J: why does it matter to you?
B: because I don't want you to loose yourself in your grief
J: its not because of you I am in grief… its because of your sister
B: she is NOT my sister.
Jai turned around and looked into her eyes for the first time. Bani was clad in a simple chiffon sari, with matching earrings and bangles. She looked like a typical bahu, but at the same time there was some beauty in her. The mangulstra around her neck and the sindoor in her parting immediately caught his eye.
B: She is not my sister. She is my chachu's daughter. They died in a car accident and mummy papa, adopted her.
J: she doesn't necessarily have to be of blood relation
B: me and Rano never liked her. She was always like that. Roaming with guyz, using everyone.
J, sarcastically: why didn't you tell me before? cause its kinda too late now
B: I know what you must be going through, but trust me you are not the first or the only one
J: what do you mean to say?
B: don't drown yourself in alcohol… these kind of things happen… you should be happy that you didn't marry a person like Pia
J: so what?
B: please stop drinking… and I have a request
J: what?
B: can you delay the divorce
J: what divorce?
B: both of us can't pretend that we are having a happy married life… lets just get it over with
J, sarcastically: Bani, why did I marry you?
B: ummmmmmm....to prevent the media from ruining your reputation
J: and what would the media say if I divorced my wife in less than a month?
Bani kept quiet. This was very awkward. She knew she could never have a life with Jai. There is always this feeling that he is reminded of Pia, whenever he sees Bani (well, according to Bani… Jai doesn't frankly care..lol).
As Jai continued to drink, Bani left the room. After that conversation, Jai started to come back to himself. He stopped spending his spare time in the study drinking, he started to talk to Bani and eventually, started to accept her as his wife.
And one night in June (June 19th guyz 😳), both of them accepted their love and became a part of the other. Life was perfect for him again. He was happy with Bani and couldn't have wished for more. One such day, when he was coming back home, his new PA, Meera informed him about their upcoming trip to Dubai.
Jai wanted to take Bani along on the trip, but she refused point blank that she had no interest in boring herself to death on his business trip. And so, he along with Meera flew to Dubai, to finalized the deal.
The evening after the deal was sealed, a huge party was thrown by Jai Walia. As his colleagues forced him for a drink, he hesitated thinking of Bani. After a lot of persuasion, he agreed. However, after a few sips, he felt his head spinning. Everything became blurry and he didn't understand what was happening.
He left the party with difficulty and managed to come to his hotel room. He felt a woman hugging him, forcing herself on him. Not even knowing anything, he hugged her back. Thinking it was Bani, as she was the only one who would be in his room, he started to kiss her…
Jai came back to reality as he heard the noise of the ceremony hit his ears... he realized where he was and a tear slipped out of his eye as he remembered the times he had with Bani...

So, Jai did save Bani... but even a better surprise.... 😃 lolz... anyway, i didn't want to butcher Pia's character... since i really liked her when KS started, but then the whole reason why JB got married is because of her and i wanted to give the credit to her atleast... 😛 😆 ... but the ONS, that really ruined Pia's character and hence i didn't want to use her again in the story... many of you guyz can already guess who the person is as its not Bani for sure... waiting for your comments... like i said, this will be a happy story and i will have a better ending than what kekta showed us
