Hey guyz... i was bored so i thought to write a short story. Besides, KS has become a torture. Now even if JB got back together, they lost their chemistry. Its not that good as it used to be. Like Jaz said in her lamba post... JM is the new thing. Even though both of them are not as good as JB, it is still better than the JB we have now. But don't kill me, this story is on JB, as a couple. I don't think i could ever write a story that is not about them...lolz 😆😉😳. Hope you like this story. I don't want to reveal anything yet, it will all make sense in the next part!! 😆😃 Enjoy reading!
Life is too short
It should be lived to the fullest
We are not born together,
But we die together.
If one mistake counts,
What about everything else.
Every moment is special,
So what if I did something wrong.
Isn't it about everything i did right.
In the end,
Only my love counts,
Isn't it enough for you and me
Part One
The Dixit's mansion rang with laughter as the girls brought down the bride to be, Rano for the ceremony. It was the most happening thing in Mt. Abu and everyone was there, including relatives from abroad.
Nishikant and Kiran Dixit were very reserved. Inpite of the world moving on, they held on to their old values. Even though both their daughters had high studies, they were still expected to wear salwars, come home before dark, have friendships with only girls, and so on.
Their elder daughter, Bani Dixit was extremely pretty. She was believed to be the Dixit family's luck for she was the Lakshmi of the house. Being a darling of her father, she was excused from everything, though she made no mistakes whatsoever.
The younger daughter however, was the complete opposite. Being the mother's pet, she was the one spoilt. Going to late night parties, wearing what her father believed to be 'in decent clothes', even though they were just a pair of jeans and a few tang tops.
Even though Rano hated an arranged marriages, she herself was having one. When the Dixit's received a proposal for their younger daughter, they agreed without a second thought, much to Rano's anger. However, as soon as she set her eyes on Ranveer Bali she was besotted by him.
Today was the engagement which was going to be followed by the sangeet, mehendi, haldi and then finally the wedding, which was going to take place exactly a week from now. As she sat amongst her friends, laughing at the jokes they were passing, Bani Dixit was somewhere away in a corner, taking care of things.
She was not interested in the function and hence involved herself in unnecessary things such as serving the guests, when there were a lot of servants to do it instead! As her mother came around, scolding her for not getting involved in her own sister's wedding, Bani walked away to the terrace in her own thoughts.
The obident girl, who once upon a time used to be a chatter box was now not even interested to have a conversation. She wanted to be left alone in her thoughts. She looked down from the terrace as she heard cars pull up in the drive way. The groom's side, also known as the Walias were here.
Ranveer Bali's mother, Jigyasa Walia is the sister of the famous industrialist, Jai Walia. She was married to Aditya Bali and being the snobby type of woman, she soon moved back into her brother's house with her mother-in-law and husband. She also has another child, Anu, who was married to the Chopra's sometime ago. And finally, there was Massi, Jai's mother's sister, who is more than a mother to Jai.
Bani's eyes searched the crowd from the terrace, looking for one person. She was very disappointed when suddenly she heard a voice from behind. She turned around to come in face with a stranger. He was very skinny and tall, with black hair. His eyes were dark brown, and his presense was very weird and awkward to Bani.
D: If I can ask, what are you doing here, when there is an engagement going on downstairs?
B: none of your business
D: Anyway, I guess you don't like the wedding, because even I don't
B: then, why are you here? You are welcome to leave
D: how can I just leave… it will look bad
B: then be quiet…
D: Waise, I am Daksh and you are?
B: none of your business
D: I guess 'none of your business' is your favourite line
B: will you leave me alone?
D: sorry, I can't. In my opinion
B: no one needs your opinion, atleast I don't need it
D: but listen, you don't leave a person who is sad to herself.
B: I am not sad
D: then disappointed?
B: no
D: mad?
B: no
D: angry?
B: ANNOYED!!!
D: ok chill… waise, whats your name
B: I am not going to tell you, so you might as well leave and
save your time
D: its okay, I have time… but you are so sweet, you are worried for me
B: urghhh…. I don't know from where people like you come
D: from Mt. Abu…. So you don't know Mt. Abu?
B: I am from Mumbai
D: oh… I am from Mumbai too
B: but you just said that you are from Mt. Abu
D: I am from where ever you are from
B: so flirting with me huh?
D: no… something like… love
B: don't even think about it…
D: waise, you are really pretty
B: I know
D: except you would look really nice in a sari
B: I know that too
D: who told you that
B: someone special
Saying that Bani walked away. She didn't like the looks of that guy, Daksh. He seemed pretty weird and how dare he flirt with her. For the rest of the ceremony, Bani found that Daksh's eyes didn't leave her even for a second, much to her annoyance.
………………………………………………
Bani woke up the the sound of something crashing. She got up sleepily and look at the clock. It was 2 am and she didn't understand why there so much commotion. She put on her robe and walked outside her room to find the rest of the house asleep with nothing amiss. Wondering what was happening she went back to bed, only to hear foot steps from the balcony.
Being the eldest and the darling, Bani had the best room in the whole house. It was very big and spacious, with an amazing view of the whole town. There was also a balcony attached, in which she grew her favourite flowers.
She quietly walked to the balcony, to find some person standing there, with his face covered. She was first scared and then thinking it must a thief she walked closer. But it turned out be Daksh. She wanted to slap him for coming in secret and that too in the middle of the night.
D: hey!
B: what the hell are you doing here in the middle of the night?
D: I wanted to talk to you… rather, show you something
B: just get OUT!!
D: yeah but
B: I don't care… sneaking into a girl;s room in the middle of the night, don't you have any shame… disgusting…
D: but there is something you should see
B: I don't want to see it and neither do I care…
D: please
B: ek bath tum bahut achi tara samjlo Daksh… main aisi waisi ladki nahi hoon. (trans: you better understand that I am not any type of a girl)
D: phir, kis type ki ladki ho? (trans: then what type of girl are you?)
B: aisi ladki, jisne tumhare jaise hazaron dekhe hain (trans: a girl, who has seen thousands of people like you)
Bani turned around and walked away. She turned off the lights and hoped that Daksh would walk away, if not he would see hell… afterall, what does he think about her?, she thought. First flirting and now coming as if this is his own room or as if I am his lover… first thing tomorrow, I am going to talk to him…
…………………………………………………….
It was two days after the engagement and Bani was busy in making sure that everything was ready for the sangeet, held that evening. She didn't see Daksh since that terrace episode and was glad for that. She was going to blast him for coming in like that, but something told her he was close by, watching her.
She dimissed these thoughts as she walked upstairs. Rano was already dressed and was on the phone with Ranveer. Bani shook her head and smiled at her younger sister. And then she too got dressed.
Bani was clad in a work lengha choli. The duppata was drapped over her front, covering her exposed tummy. She ran a brush through her hair a couple of times and put a small clip. She put on a matching set along with some bangles. After putting some kajol and lips gloss, she went downstairs to help her mother.
Bani's Outfit (thanks to sushups):

The ceremony was proceeding with a lot of excitement. A pair of eyes were always on a quiet Bani, who was least interested in the function. She knew who was watching her closely and wished that she could disappear on the spot. His gaze was so awkward that she hated herself for even inviting him, when he clearly didn't want to come.
To avoid him and his eyes, Bani walked away to the terrace to get some fresh air. The atmosphere was becoming very hot as she felt the man's eyes always on her. As she stood there watching the twinkling stars, she heard movement.
Knowing full well it was the man, she didn't want to turn around. She faced enough with him and knew his anger very well. But instead of hearing that deep voice she often craved for in the past few days, she heard Daksh. She spun around to find him, in a sort of druken state.
B: What are you doing here?
D: its not the middle of the night, so what problem do you have now?
B: I don't want to talk to you, just leave me alone, would you?
D: no Bani… I really like you…
B: how do you know my name?
D: come on Bani… the whole Mt. Abu knows…
B; just get lost… I don't want to see you
D: but I really like you… I love you Bani
B: but I DON"T
D: don't say that Bani…I will give you all the happiness in the world
B: but
Daksh was in no mood to listen. He stared to advance and Bani kept walking back. She soon hit the terrace wall and her heart was plunged into fear. There was too much noise going on, how could someone hear her even if she screamed? What if no one came to search for her and Daksh would do something to her? Horrible thoughts ran through her head as she prayed god to help her…
